THE GUIDE

Learning 2XKO is easier when you separate winning a match from practising one useful decision. Your first goal is a small set of actions you can perform under pressure: move, defend, land a short sequence and understand when your partner can help.

Riot's learning guide explicitly encourages approachable fundamentals and explains Pulse Combo as an autocombo option. Its controls guide introduces attacks and tag mechanics. Use the current in-game tutorial alongside these references so button labels match your setup. How to Learn 2XKO and basic controls.

Give each champion a job

Pick a pair you enjoy and identify one comfortable situation for each. One might feel easier at a particular distance, while the other gives you a clearer answer when the opponent closes in. Start with those observations instead of a complete tournament build.

Keep the pair stable while learning. If you change both champions after every loss, it becomes difficult to tell whether the problem was a character choice or a decision you would repeat with anyone.

Practise a short confirm and a safe response

Choose a simple attacking sequence and learn what you should do when it connects or is defended. The useful lesson is recognising the result, not merely completing inputs from memory. Spend some practice time defending and moving without attacking so you can see the opponent's approach more clearly.

After a match, review one moment where you continued attacking after your opportunity ended. Try a different response next time rather than adding a longer combination.

Select a Fuse you understand

Riot explains that Fuses customise how the team's champions work together. Read the selected Fuse's current description and make sure both players understand its purpose. New options can arrive through updates, so an older list is not a complete reference forever. Riot's duo and Fuse explanation.

In a duo, agree on a short call for a planned tag or assist. Keep it consistent. A predictable request your partner can act on is more valuable than a theoretically stronger sequence that neither player can coordinate during a real match.
