THE GUIDE

AION 2 preparation has two separate parts: checking which regional service you can access and deciding what kind of role you want to play. An announcement from one region is not automatic confirmation that every region uses the same client, schedule or account rules.

Start with your regional service

NCSoft's November 2025 launch notice specifically describes the Korea and Taiwan service. Its global information is presented through separate official pages. Follow the page for your location and read its current availability and account requirements before installing or purchasing anything. Korea and Taiwan launch notice and official global information.

If you plan to play with friends, confirm the same service and compatible server choices together. A matching character name or language setting does not by itself establish that accounts can meet in the same world.

Choose the responsibility before the class name

NCSoft's original class reveal includes roles such as Templar tanking, ranged attacks, magic damage and support. It describes manual combat and both solo and group activities. These are useful starting points for choosing a playstyle, while exact balance needs the current regional build. Official class and content reveal.

Ask whether you enjoy controlling an encounter, keeping allies functioning or concentrating on damage. Then watch official demonstrations of the classes that fit that preference. A role you enjoy practising is a stronger first choice than a ranking based on a different patch.

Prepare a small group-learning plan

For a first group activity, agree on who leads movement and how you will call for a pause. Test your basic actions before attempting a complicated rotation. After a difficult encounter, identify whether the problem was positioning, timing or misunderstanding a mechanic.

Change one part of the plan before trying again. This helps the group learn why an adjustment worked, instead of attributing every result to equipment.

Keep old AION advice in its place

AION 2 is a separate game. An old route, item recommendation or class explanation from the original may use familiar names without matching current systems. Read the description in your own client and the latest official notes before spending scarce resources. This guide deliberately avoids a universal best class or a promised fastest leveling route.
