Anime Vanguards Beginner Guide: Build a Team Before Spending Upgrades
Plan an Anime Vanguards starter roster, test units with a clear purpose and decide what to upgrade from the stages you actually struggle to complete.

In this guide 4 sections
Anime Vanguards asks you to develop a roster, but a roster is useful only when its units solve the problems in front of you. Start by learning a small team and identifying why a stage fails before spending resources on several unrelated upgrades.
Kitawari's official Roblox description explains summoning units, leveling and evolving them, and playing with friends across multiple modes. It does not establish a permanent best team or a guaranteed summon result. Use the current client for exact abilities and upgrade requirements. Official Anime Vanguards experience.
Give each unit a reason to be selected
Read the abilities of the units you own and describe the job each one performs. Consider how the team's options differ rather than filling every slot with the same kind of attack. If two units appear to overlap, test which one fits the stage more comfortably.
Keep the team stable for several attempts. That makes it easier to learn timing and recognise which part of your setup is consistently underperforming. Replacing the entire roster after a loss hides the cause.
Study where the stage breaks down
Notice whether trouble begins early, around a particular enemy or after a resource decision. These are different problems. A unit that helps at the end of a stage may not solve a weak opening if you cannot bring its contribution online in time.
Try one change at a time: a different deployment decision, an earlier upgrade or a unit that addresses the specific threat. Compare the same section again before declaring the change successful.
Spend upgrades on the active plan
Read the full requirement and expected effect before leveling or evolving a unit. Prioritise something you will actually use in the team you are testing. A recommendation based on a complete roster may not fit the options on your account.
Treat summon probabilities and limited availability as displayed rules, not promises made by a guide. Check the current banner or event information directly.
Coordinate co-op instead of duplicating effort
Tell friends which part of the run you intend to handle. Agree on the first few decisions and call out the threat that needs attention. A shared plan makes it easier to understand whether the team needs a roster improvement or simply a better-timed response.
