Arknights: Endfield Beginner Guide: Build an AIC Line You Can Debug
Learn a practical way to organise Endfield's AIC factory: start with one output, trace its inputs and fix bottlenecks before expanding the layout.

In this guide 4 sections
Arknights: Endfield's AIC factory becomes easier to understand when you build a small production line whose purpose is obvious. Start with one required output, work backward through its inputs and expand only after the line behaves as expected.
The Endfield team's official development notes describe the AIC factory and improvements to building guidance, belt and pipe connection feedback, and controller interactions. These notes confirm why reading the current interface matters: factory usability and controls can change between versions. Official release-preview development notes and factory development update.
Choose the output before placing machines
Identify an item you currently need and read its production requirements in the game. List the necessary inputs and intermediate steps. This gives every facility in the line a job and helps you avoid building a large arrangement that produces the wrong thing.
Keep the first layout readable. Leave enough room to see how each connection reaches the next step. A compact design is not an improvement if you cannot inspect it when production stops.
Trace a stalled line from beginning to end
Check whether the starting resource is available, whether the connection is correct and whether the next facility can accept what is arriving. Continue through the line one step at a time. Use the game's visual feedback instead of changing several facilities simultaneously.
If one stage waits while another accumulates material, you have a useful clue about the bottleneck. Test a single adjustment and watch the result before rebuilding the full chain.
Separate exploration goals from factory goals
Before leaving to explore, note which resource or unlock would help your current production plan. Return with a concrete question to solve rather than a bag of unfamiliar materials and no intended use.
For combat, practise with a team whose abilities you understand. When an upgrade becomes possible, connect it to a specific encounter problem instead of assuming that every new production option needs immediate investment.
Keep a reusable layout note
Record the purpose of a working line and the input that most often limits it. The next time you need to expand, you can begin from that explanation. This guide intentionally avoids fixed throughput numbers or a universal blueprint, since recipes, facilities and balance details should be checked in the active version of Endfield.
