Corepunk Beginner Guide: Explore the Fog of War With a Clear Route
Learn how to approach Corepunk's fog of war, prepare a short exploration loop and check Early Access rules before committing to a progression plan.

In this guide 4 sections
Corepunk's fog of war makes exploration a decision about information. Before moving into unfamiliar space, know what you are looking for and how you plan to return. A short route you understand is a useful foundation for more ambitious trips.
The official Corepunk overview describes an isometric open-world MMORPG with fog of war and combat influenced by MOBA-style systems. Its FAQ identifies the game as an Early Access project and distinguishes current features from development plans. Check the latest official notice before assuming progress rules or access conditions are permanent. Official overview and Corepunk FAQ.
Explore from a known point
Choose a recognisable starting location and a nearby objective. Move far enough to learn the route, then return before adding another destination. Keep track of landmarks that remain useful when the map is not fully familiar.
If the path introduces a threat you do not understand, pause and observe. A direct line toward the destination is not necessarily the most manageable route. Give yourself room to disengage rather than discovering every obstacle while already committed.
Learn the cost of an encounter
Practise your basic actions against a familiar target and watch how your resources change. Notice what you need before taking another fight. The goal is to recognise whether you are ready, not simply to continue because another enemy is nearby.
When a fight goes wrong, separate positioning, ability timing and preparation. Change one of those before retrying. A new item will not automatically fix a route that repeatedly places you in an unfavourable encounter.
Gather with an intended use
Read the current crafting or quest requirement before collecting a large quantity of something. Identify which materials fit your immediate objective and leave optional projects for a later trip. This keeps exploration from turning into an inventory of unexplained items.
If you play with friends, agree on a meeting point and tell the group before taking a detour into unexplored space. Shared navigation is easier when everyone knows the next landmark.
Verify the testing context
Corepunk has published reset and development announcements during Early Access. Read the latest news before planning long-term resource commitments. Official Corepunk news.
Keep notes on the build and the system you are testing. A guide written before a major change may still provide historical context, but its exact route or progression values need confirmation in your current client.
