The Division Resurgence Beginner Guide: Servers, Cover and Gear
Choose a Division Resurgence server carefully, build a reliable combat setup and prepare for co-op without wasting upgrades.

In this guide 4 sections
The Division Resurgence brings a separate Division adventure to mobile and other officially supported platforms. Start by confirming your server and group plans before spending time on a character.
Ubisoft states that characters and progression are tied to their original server even though players can switch servers. Coordinate with friends first; selecting a different server later is not the same as moving an existing character. Official launch community update
Set up a controllable combat loop
Use an early encounter to test aiming, entering cover and activating skills without fumbling your controls. Keep the layout readable on your device and adjust one sensitivity setting at a time.
Before moving from cover, identify the next protected position. Crossing an open area without a destination turns a small mistake into a sustained burst of incoming fire. A weapon you can aim consistently is more useful while learning than one chosen only from a damage screenshot.
Build around a job
Decide whether your setup is intended to handle enemies at distance, work closer to the fight or support teammates. Compare equipment against that job instead of switching direction whenever a higher-looking number appears.
Read the descriptions of your available skills and specializations. Ubisoft presents specializations and solo or co-op play as part of Resurgence, but exact balance and unlock details should be checked in the live game. Official overview
Prepare before joining a group
Bring a clear purpose and tell the team what you can contribute. In a difficult encounter, avoid stacking everyone behind the same exposed angle. Call out dangerous enemies and regroup before another push.
If a mission repeatedly fails, review whether the issue is equipment, cover use or coordination. Spending resources will not automatically fix a group that moves in different directions.
Keep Resurgence separate from The Division 2
Do not assume a familiar item name means the same build rules apply across both games. Resurgence has its own progression and update schedule. Ubisoft's launch overview describes its New York setting and separate campaign.
A strong opening plan is simple: the correct server, comfortable controls and one coherent setup you can improve deliberately.
