RS3 Money Making Guide 2026: Best GP per Hour by Level
RS3 money making guide for late 2026: best GP per hour by level, from Amascut and Telos to heists, Big Game Hunter, necrotic runes, AFK and weekly runs.

In this guide 10 sections
Quick summary
- Best money maker in RS3: the RuneScape Wiki's highest hourly method on October 28 was Amascut at 2000 Enrage (about 189M GP/hour). Telos at a 200 killstreak (about 169M) and Zemouregal and Vorkath hard mode (about 144M) follow.
- Best skilling: Havenhythe Big Game Hunter kebbits (about 65.4M) and the Asuran Arsenal heist (about 65.1M) lead non-combat methods. Croesus duo (about 56.1M) is a skilling boss.
- Mid-level PvM: hellhounds (about 15.5M), lava strykewyrms (about 13.0M) and Dagannoth Kings (about 10.8M) are strong "Combat/Mid" picks.
- AFK options: elite profane scabarites (about 9.9M, low intensity) and muspah (about 7.2M, low) need little attention.
- Don't skip recurring runs: weekly Soul Reaper tasks (about 28.8M per run) and the weekly mega shop run (about 14.0M per run) are on the wiki's recurring list.
This RS3 money making guide covers RuneScape 3, not Old School RuneScape. GP figures come from the RuneScape Wiki's Money making guide, which recalculates from Grand Exchange guide prices; the headline methods were rechecked on October 28, 2026, and the wiki itself warns that "actual revenue per hour may vary greatly." Wiki figures assume an experienced player at that method, so expect less while you're learning. New-content notes come from Jagex's game news.

Havenhythe Part I expanded Big Game Hunter with new hunts across the region and raised the Hunter cap to 110 (Jagex, March 23, 2026). On October 28, Big Game Hunter kebbits was the best non-combat method on the wiki, narrowly ahead of the Asuran Arsenal.
Watch the input cost. Big Game Hunter kebbits had about 14.1M of input per hour on the wiki, while the Asuran Arsenal needs almost none. If prices drop, the method with the higher input loses margin first.
RS3 money making by level
Under level 50 skills:
- Killing the Giant Mimic (beginner) is the wiki's best low-level method at about 7.0M per hour, with 30 combat recommended.
- Killing tortoises (41 Magic) and chickens are lower, at about 2.5M and 2.0M.
- Low-level runecrafting methods (40 Runecrafting for flesh or astral runes) scale well as your Runecrafting goes up, according to the wiki's recommended levels.
- If you're brand new, the RuneScape beginner guide covers the quests and skill goals that open most of these methods.
Level 70–90:
- Hellhounds (45 Slayer) and lava strykewyrms (94 Slayer) are solid Slayer-based money.
- Mjolnirs only need quests.
- The Anachronia Agility Course needs 85 Agility.
Level 90+ combat:
- Start with ED1 and ED2 solo (about 28.6M and 31.4M) and Kerapac hard mode (about 32.8M).
- Rasial (about 45.0M) needs 95 Necromancy. The RS3 Necromancy guide covers the fastest route there and the gear you'll want.
Endgame:
- Telos, Zamorak, Amascut and Nex scale with enrage or killstreak. Telos goes from about 31.2M at 999 enrage claims to about 169.0M at a 200 killstreak.
- The money is in high enrage, so practice at lower settings first.
Best AFK money making in RS3: GP vs attention
The wiki tags every method with an intensity: Low, Moderate or High. Use it to match a method to how you play.
| Your session | Pick | Why | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full focus, high-level PvM | Telos, Zamorak, Amascut, Nex | Highest GP per hour, but enrage scaling punishes mistakes | Wiki |
| Full focus, skilling | Asuran Arsenal, Big Game Hunter, Croesus | Top non-combat GP; heists need high Thieving | Wiki |
| Half attention | Lava strykewyrms (Moderate), sacred oil (Moderate, about 9.9M) | Steady GP with fewer inputs | Wiki |
| Second screen / AFK | Elite profane scabarites, muspah, seekers (about 7.0M, Low) | Low intensity; scabarites need 99 Slayer | Wiki |
| 30 minutes free | Mega shop run, inert adrenaline crystals | High profit per run on a reset timer | Wiki recurring list |
Return on input (our arithmetic from the wiki's columns): Croesus (4-person) needs almost no input against roughly 45–47M of output. Ripper demons need 34.8M of input for 85.6M of output. Low-input methods are better when you're starting with little GP, because a bad hour costs you almost nothing.
Low-level bosses from Havenhythe: Jagex added the Dreadhog and Ivar, King of Bones for players at combat level 40–50 in March 2026. Neither appears in the wiki's money making table yet, so treat them as practice bosses, not proven money makers.
RS3 daily and weekly money makers
The wiki ranks recurring methods by effective profit, meaning what you'd earn per hour if you could repeat them nonstop. It advises skipping any whose effective profit is lower than your normal hourly method.
| Method | Profit per run (wiki) | Time per run | Recurrence | Requirements |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Optimised hide tanner (undead dragonhide) | 42,901,000 | 2 min | Every 8 days (192 h) | 111 Invention, built tanner |
| Soul Reaper tasks | 28,830,000 | 6 h | Weekly (168 h) | 90 combat style, T80+ gear |
| Limestone and limestone bricks (full run) | 18,808,000 | 2 h 20 min | Weekly | Shades of Mort'ton and other quests |
| Mega shop run (weekly) | 13,956,000 | 30 min | Weekly | 66 Magic for the Wizards' Guild, 68 Fishing for the Fishing Guild |
| Charging inert adrenaline crystals | 11,891,000 | 1 h | Daily | 93 Herblore |
| Partial potion producer DX | 10,212,000 | 2 min | Every 13 days (312 h) | 114 Invention |
| Mega shop run (daily) | 4,386,000 | 30 min | Daily | 66 Magic, 68 Fishing |
Our arithmetic: the hide tanner pays about 42.9M for 2 minutes of work. That's why its effective profit is in the billions on the wiki (1,287,018,000). It also needs 133.3M of input, so you need the GP up front.
New RS3 content and money making (autumn 2026)
Ghrazi Blood Knights (October 12, Jagex):
- A duo boss with an Enrage system. Jagex said a solo version would follow about four weeks after launch.
- Drops include Malachi's Tooth and Claw (Tier 95 crossbows) and the Invoke Arisen Flesh codex.
- Jagex says it deliberately kept the number of unique drops low to protect reward value.
- It still wasn't in the wiki's money making table on October 28, so there are no reliable GP/hour figures. Wait for data before choosing it for money.
Havenhythe Part II (September 28, Jagex):
- Adds four new areas, a mining activity (65 Mining, 51 Crafting) and an ultra-rare best-in-slot hatchet.
- The finale needs 51 Crafting, 55 Herblore, 65 Mining and 60 Smithing, plus Secrets of Amberfell.
Alts and returning players
- Returning players: Havenhythe (2026) added Big Game Hunter kebbits and chinchompas, which now rank among the top skilling methods. Older lists won't include them.
- Ironmen: the wiki keeps a separate Ironman guide, because Grand Exchange-based profits don't apply.
- Multiple accounts: Jagex's Rules of RuneScape say each account should only be used by the person who created it. Running several accounts for money still has to follow the macroing rules.
- Old School instead? The OSRS money-making guide covers the other game, where the methods and prices are completely different, and the Old School RuneScape beginner guide explains how its early goals differ.
The RuneScape hub lists the other RS3 guides and services.
