THE GUIDE

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin combines a party of heroes with open-world exploration. A new player should learn what each available hero contributes before treating the roster as a list of characters to upgrade equally.

Netmarble's official game listing places the adventure in Britannia with Tristan and an original story. This is Origin, so instructions for The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross should not be assumed to apply.

Give each hero a reason to be present

Read the abilities of your available heroes and identify what you want each to contribute. Consider the sequence you actually use in combat, not only an individual attack's description.

Our recommendation is to practice a short team sequence in an ordinary encounter. Notice whether changing heroes creates a useful follow-up or simply interrupts something that was already working. Build familiarity before expanding the number of characters receiving resources.

Explore in purposeful loops

Choose one nearby objective and add optional exploration along the route. If a landmark or dungeon interrupts the plan, note where the original objective was so that you can return without retracing everything.

The official listing describes exploration, dungeons, fishing and cooking. Try those activities when you encounter them rather than assuming all of them require an immediate efficiency plan.

Prepare co-op expectations

Netmarble's global-launch announcement confirms solo and cooperative play. Before grouping, agree whether the purpose is discovery, a particular encounter or helping someone progress.

Give teammates time to understand a new mechanic. When a fight fails, identify what happened before replacing every hero: an unsafe attack, an unclear target or a missed opportunity for support may be the actual problem.

Use current release information

Pre-release articles can contain superseded dates or plans. The March 2026 launch announcement is the relevant starting point for availability, while subsequent official notices should guide current event and update decisions.

For your first sessions, prioritize a team sequence you can repeat and an exploration route you enjoy. You can make more expensive character decisions once you know which role or task your current party cannot yet handle comfortably.
