THE GUIDE

Cashout in THE FINALS rewards completing the objective, not simply collecting eliminations. Before a fight, decide whether your team is obtaining a vault, moving it, defending a deposit or contesting another team's station.

The official Cashout rules describe the sequence: locate and activate a vault, deposit it at a station and protect the cashout while it completes. The team with the most cash wins.

Separate the journey from the defense

When your team has a vault, agree on the destination before scattering. Think about the route and what information you have about nearby opponents. A short route can still be poor if it puts the carrier through a position the team cannot support.

Our recommendation is to make one player call the immediate objective. That reduces the chance of one teammate defending while another starts an unrelated chase.

Defend the area around the station

Standing beside the objective is not the same as controlling it. Identify the routes opponents can use, the positions from which you can respond and where your teammates will be able to help.

Choose positions with complementary sightlines rather than stacking everyone in one place. Keep a plan for regrouping if pressure arrives from a direction you did not expect.

Contest with a reason

Before entering an active cashout fight, ask whether you have the timing and team presence to follow through. A lone attempt can consume time and leave the rest of the team waiting to recover.

Coordinate the moment you pressure the station. Discuss who is creating an opening and who is using it. Even a simple shared plan is easier to execute than three players independently deciding when to commit.

Review the objective decision

After a round, identify whether the loss came from transport, defense or the final contest. If your team won several fights but still lost the objective, reviewing aim alone misses the main lesson.

Try a session in which you track only objective-related decisions. Call the next destination, stay aware of teammates and stop chasing when the chase no longer supports the cashout.

Exact rules can differ by playlist or update. Read the current mode description before assuming a tactic from one variant applies unchanged to another.
