THE GUIDE

Zenless Zone Zero feels more controlled when you know why each Agent enters the fight. Start with a team you can explain, then practice the defensive actions that let you keep that plan running under pressure.

HoYoverse's producer introduction establishes the action-focused team adventure in New Eridu. For exact inputs and ability conditions, use the tutorials and skill descriptions in your current client.

Learn the Agent before the rotation

Read an Agent's core actions and identify the moment you are trying to create. What prepares the attack, what resource does it require and what should happen after it finishes?

Our recommendation is to practice a short sequence with one Agent, then add the next teammate's contribution. This makes it easier to spot whether a switch supports the plan or simply interrupts an action you had not finished.

Make defense a deliberate exercise

During a familiar encounter, focus on recognizing the enemy cue and using the response taught by the game. Practice the follow-up separately until the entire sequence becomes comfortable.

Avoid changing sensitivity, controls and equipment together after a failed attempt. First determine whether you recognized the cue, pressed the intended control and had the appropriate action available.

Spend upgrades around a real role

Choose the Agents you actually use and inspect which parts of their kit matter to the team. Prioritize an upgrade because it improves that contribution, not merely because the menu offers it.

Before pursuing a new character, identify the role they would fill and the resources needed to make them functional. A partially upgraded collection does not automatically outperform a smaller, coherent team.

Check the date on older advice

Systems have changed since launch. HoYoverse's version 1.4 explanation documents changes to early progression and Ultimate-related resource handling, demonstrating why launch instructions can be outdated.

Use the official site for later announcements and current event conditions. Keep your practice goal narrow: one defensive sequence, one team interaction or one completed upgrade. Once those decisions are understandable, advanced team comparisons become much more useful.
