PoE2 Currency Farming Guide 0.5.5: Best Divine Orb Farms
PoE2 currency farming guide for 0.5.5: Divine Orb farms ranked by profit, cost and difficulty, from Ritual Omens to budget Delirium, Abyss and Expedition.

In this guide 13 sections
Quick summary
- Best Divine Orb farm in 0.5.5: Ritual Omen farming in Rite of the Nameless chains. Farm of Exile's live tracker put the two Ritual farms at about 108–111 Divine Orbs per hour on October 28, both rated 4/5 for difficulty and complexity.
- The creator behind the T16 Ritual strategy found that Tier 16 waystones now clearly beat Tier 15: about 95 versus 58 Divines per hour, with the same tablets and the same pace (Farm of Exile).
- Best farm for new mappers: Budget Delirium Splinters. It costs about 1 Divine per 10 maps, tracked at about 54 Divines per hour on October 28 and is rated 2/5 difficulty.
- Patch 0.5.5 changed several sources of income. Trial of Chaos now pays only Currency and Soul Cores and has a reward chest in every room. Expedition is a core Atlas mechanic with its own tablets. Large Abyssal Ravines guarantee Abysses (Grinding Gear Games patch notes).
- On October 28, one Divine Orb traded for about 670 Exalted Orbs on poe2base, or about 10.2 Chaos Orbs. That is about a tenth of the "100 Chaos" launch estimate that older guides still repeat.
This PoE2 currency farming guide ranks the Divine Orb farms that pay in the Forbidden Rites league on patch 0.5.5 and explains how to run them. Mechanics come from Grinding Gear Games' 0.5.5 patch notes (mirrored on ExileData). Strategy rates come from Farm of Exile, a fan tracker that takes each strategy creator's test results and adjusts them for current prices, and prices come from poe2base. We did not run these farms ourselves, and every rate below is a snapshot that moves with the market; conversions and payback counts are our own arithmetic.
For campaign income before maps, start with the PoE2 leveling guide. Once you reach maps, the PoE2 endgame Atlas guide covers the Atlas points and tablet slots every farm below relies on.
What Divine Orbs do and why farms are priced in them
A Divine Orb randomises the numeric values of the modifiers on an item, keeping the modifiers themselves (poe2db). That makes it the tool for perfecting a near-finished item, and it is scarce enough that players price almost everything valuable in Divines. Divine Orbs can drop from item level 35 onward, but most players get them by selling what their farm produces: Omens, Simulacra, splinters and boss drops, rather than from raw Divine drops.
Two habits raise every farm's income. Run a strict loot filter so you notice valuable currency and hide clutter; the PoE2 loot filter guide shows how to install and tune one. And sell bulk items through the in-game Currency Exchange instead of single trades, so the time you save goes back into maps.
PoE2 Divine Orb price: what currency is worth
Path of Exile 2 has no fixed exchange rate. Farm of Exile prices every strategy in Divine Orbs, so check the Divine price before you compare rates. Different price trackers can disagree by 10% or more on the same day, so compare like with like.
| Pair | Value | Source and date |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Divine in Exalted | About 670 | poe2base, Oct 28 |
| 1 Divine in Chaos | About 10.2 | poe2base, Oct 28 |
| 1 Chaos in Exalted | About 66 | Our arithmetic: 670 ÷ 10.2 |
| Divine league low and high | 29.7 Exalted (Sep 5); 926 Exalted (Oct 7) | poe2base |
Two takeaways matter for farming:
- A Divine bought about 23 times more Exalted in late October than at the first recorded trade (our arithmetic from poe2base). Farms that drop Exalted-priced loot have lost value against Divines.
- Omens and Simulacra sell in Divines. Farm of Exile says purple Ritual Omens such as Whittling, Sinistral Annulment and Erasure "sell for well over 10 divines each." That is why Ritual tops the table even though its raw currency drops are ordinary.
Patch 0.5.5 also added a Stash/Inventory toggle to the Currency Exchange window (Grinding Gear Games).
Best PoE2 currency farming strategies in 0.5.5
Farm of Exile's PoE2 list carried 13 tracked strategies on October 28, and every one showed a profit. Difficulty (how likely you are to die) and complexity (setup and bookkeeping) are each rated out of 5. This table is a decision aid, not a complete list of ways to earn.
| Strategy | Mechanic | Divines/hour (Oct 28) | Difficulty | Complexity | Setup cost (Farm of Exile) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ritual Omen Farming in Rite of the Nameless City Chains | Ritual | 111.1 | 4/5 | 4/5 | High: city tablets up to about 23 Divines each |
| T16 Rite of the Nameless Omen Farm | Ritual | 108.1 | 4/5 | 4/5 | About 1 Divine per run |
| Abyssal Trove Cranium Farming | Abyss | 85.1 | 3/5 | 2/5 | Tablets about 3–5 Chaos each |
| The Arbiter of Ash | Boss | 84.6 | 5/5 | 1/5 | About 16 Divines of fragments |
| 200% Delirium Splinter Farm | Delirium | 72.8 | 5/5 | 4/5 | Four Delirium Tablets per map |
| Delirium Boss Rush | Delirium | 63.3 | 4/5 | 3/5 | About 1 Chaos |
| Breach Catalyst Farming | Breach | 54.9 | 3/5 | 1/5 | One Breach Tablet shared over a few maps |
| The Raven Trickster | Boss | 54.8 | 5/5 | 1/5 | One Raven's Reflection, about 1.5 Divines |
| Budget Delirium Splinters Farm | Delirium | 53.6 | 2/5 | 2/5 | About 1 Divine per 10 maps |
| Grand Expedition Remnant Rush | Expedition | 44.2 | 5/5 | 2/5 | Logbooks and sagas, "small" |
| The Aberration Farm | Boss | 35.9 | 5/5 | 1/5 | Low |
| Omen of Light Abyss Farming | Abyss | 31.6 | 2/5 | 1/5 | Low |
| The Bodach | Boss | 25.0 | 3/5 | 2/5 | Five Call of the Shadows |
How to read the table:
- The numbers are estimates, not quotes. Farm of Exile starts from the creator's tested hourly profit, then scales it by how much the setup and drop prices have moved since the test. For example, the T16 Ritual page shows an initial 89.4 per hour, adjusted to 106.4.
- The rates move during the day and week. Between October 20 and October 28 the Arbiter of Ash rose from about 51 to 85 per hour while the Raven Trickster fell from about 72 to 55 as prices moved. Treat any gap under about 10% between two readings as noise.
- Difficulty is the hidden cost. Farm of Exile's roundup warns that a death in The Arbiter of Ash wastes about 16 Divines of fragments, while a death in a budget farm loses a few Chaos.
How to farm Ritual Omens in Rite of the Nameless
Ritual is the highest-paying mechanic in Forbidden Rites. The money comes from the tribute menu, not from the floor: you reroll the King's favors looking for purple Omens.
T16 Rite of the Nameless Omen Farm (Farm of Exile, creator retest for 0.5.5)
- Waystones: Tier 16 with six mods. Over seven Rites (42 maps), T16 maps returned about 95 Divines per hour against about 58 on T15, with the same tablets and pace. That is about 64% more for the cost of T16 waystones at "a couple of chaos each" (the uplift is our arithmetic). Another Ritual-focused creator reported the same result, according to Farm of Exile.
- Tablets: two rare Ritual Tablets with increased Omen chance (65% or more) and reduced tribute cost for rerolling favors, plus the unique tablet Freedom of Faith. The creator prefers reroll cost over Defer, because Defer tablets "cost far more."
- Atlas master: Jado. His node randomly grants 0–40% increased effect of explicit modifiers on tablets, so a high roll on the Omen-chance mod means more Omens and cheaper rerolls. Doryani is an alternative.
- Loot: Omens of Whittling, Sinistral and Dextral Annulment, and Sinistral and Dextral Erasure. The creator thinks the Omen count is "somewhat lower than in 0.5," which suggests a quiet nerf.
- Pace: about four minutes per map, no cities needed.
City Chains variant (Farm of Exile)
- Attach Head of the King to the King on the Atlas to unlock a six-map Rite of the Nameless chain. Each map inherits the previous map's monsters and bosses, so tribute and rerolls build up as you go.
- Steer the chain toward a city. In outside maps, use Freedom of Faith plus two Omen-chance tablets. Save the expensive set for city maps: a tablet with three additional rerolls (about 23 Divines), one with Omen chance and a tribute multiplier, and one with Omen chance and 28% or more reduced reroll cost.
- Tier 15 is enough here, because item level 79 covers every purple Omen. Tribute ran around 17,000 in a normal map and 20,000–30,000 in cities. Rerolls per city map ranged from about 10 to 26.
- Defer items before they get a red border, or the deferral progress is lost.
In 0.5.5, using more than one Ritual Tablet adds an extra Altar when possible. The new Royal Lenience notable lets offered Tribute pay for deferrals, at 500% more cost (Grinding Gear Games).
For the Wildwood side of Ritual, including Fracturing Orb farming with Sacred Bloom, see the PoE2 Forbidden Rites Sacred Bloom guide.
Budget Divine Orb farming: Delirium splinters
Delirium is where most players should start, because it fits into maps you're already running.
| Delirium farm | Test sample | Result | Key setup |
|---|---|---|---|
| Budget Delirium Splinters | 50 maps over 4–5 hours | 26 Simulacra plus 73 splinters, and 31 Divines of raw currency at about 30% item rarity | Delirium Atlas tree including the splinter node; Jado; corrupted T15 waystones with 30%+ monster rarity; cheap tablets with "more Fracturing Mirrors" |
| 200% Delirium Splinters | 15 maps | About 580 splinters per map, 29 Simulacra worth about 90 Divines, against about 30 Divines of tablets | City biome at 200% Delirium; four Delirium Tablets; a build that can clear 200% maps comfortably |
| Delirium Boss Rush | 5 hours on stream | About 50 Divines per hour, though a lucky Rakiata's Flow made up about half of that | Delirium on every travel map; hunt citadels, Matriarch and Patriarch fights, and breach strongholds in the fog |
All test figures are from Farm of Exile's strategy pages.
Farm of Exile's roundup is blunt about 200% Delirium: "spending more does not buy a better rate." It pays less than four strategies that cost about a Divine or less. Only run it if you already own the tablets.
In 0.5.5, Delirium packs stopped scaling past 100% Deliriousness, and a Grand Mirror now spreads fog to exactly 10 maps (Grinding Gear Games).
Choose a PoE2 farming strategy by budget and build
The best farm depends on what your character can survive. Pick the row that matches your starting point.
| Your situation | Farm to run | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Just reached maps, build unfinished | Budget Delirium Splinters (2/5 difficulty) | A few Chaos of setup; Farm of Exile calls it "the one to start on if you are new" |
| Build is solid but not finished | Abyssal Trove Cranium Farming (3/5) | Farm of Exile's best-paying farm rated 3/5; one map returns Omens of Light, Abyssal Echoes, ancient bones and Kulemak's Invitations |
| Build is solid, low on patience | Breach Catalyst Farming (3/5, complexity 1/5) | One Breach Tablet covers a few maps; the cheapest setup in Farm of Exile's roundup |
| You have 1–2 Divines and a clean T16 clear | T16 Rite of the Nameless | One of the top three rates for about a Divine per run |
| You have a very fast build | Grand Expedition Remnant Rush (5/5) | Profit depends on how many remnants you can read per hour |
| You can kill pinnacle bosses without dying | The Arbiter of Ash or The Raven Trickster (5/5, complexity 1/5) | Buy the key item, fight; boss farms swing the most with prices, so recheck the tracker first |
Payback check (our arithmetic, from Farm of Exile's figures): Budget Delirium's setup works out to about 0.1 Divine per map, so one Simulacrum at the creator's test price of about 3 Divines covers roughly 30 maps.
Abyss, Expedition and Trial of Chaos farming in 0.5.5
Three other mechanics changed in 0.5.5, and each one changes how much it pays.
Abyss (Grinding Gear Games; Farm of Exile)
- Large Abyssal Ravines now appear across the Atlas, and every map on a ravine is guaranteed to contain Abysses.
- The "of Champions" tablet modifier now spawns 2–3 extra Rare Monsters, up from 1–2.
- The T16 Ritual creator notes that Abyssal fissures span six maps, the same length as a Rite of the Nameless chain. You can lay a Rite along a fissure and farm both at once.
- For the Cranium farm, use two Abyss tablets: one with "pits are twice as likely to have rewards," one with increased desecrated currency chance. Add Unforeseen Consequences as a third tablet.
- Bring Cryptic Keys. An Abyssal Trove strongbox opened with a key pays out twice.
Expedition tablets (Grinding Gear Games)
Expedition is now a core Atlas mechanic in every league, available from Act 4. Expedition Tablets drop in Standard and Forbidden Rites.
| Expedition Tablets used | Bonus |
|---|---|
| 1 | Adds a Kalguuran Expedition |
| 2 | Adds a Verisium Remnant and 35% increased Expedition density |
| 3 | Adds an additional Kalguuran Expedition |
| 4 | Adds another Verisium Remnant and a further 35% density |
Remnants from Logbooks also gained a new Runeshape recipe that gives 10 Chaos Orbs. Farm of Exile's Remnant Rush creator reads every remnant in a Grand Expedition, plays any worth more than about an Orb of Annulment, and otherwise places one explosive and moves on.
Trial of Chaos (Grinding Gear Games)
- A completed run now pays only Currency and Soul Cores. Corrupted items are no longer a reward.
- Every room now has a reward chest, so a death no longer costs the whole run.
- You can leave and resume from the same room.
- After a 10-trial Inscribed Ultimatum, you can continue twice without another Ultimatum, for up to 30 trials. Each continuation offers an optional double-or-nothing Currency wager.
- Atlas passives don't apply inside the Trial. To compensate, it now has built-in bonuses based on area level.
Strongboxes, Breach and Nexus maps
- Strongboxes and Cryptic Keys: the Abyssal Trove farm shows how much a key adds. Jado's Mysterious Gifts restocks keys from unique monsters (Farm of Exile). The Pandora's Box passive now gives Possessed Strongboxes 15% increased Item Rarity instead of releasing the Azmeri Spirit (Grinding Gear Games).
- Breach: Unstable Breaches now spawn their Rare Monsters in waves of 5 when stabilized. "Of the Invasion" adds 1–2 extra Rares, down from 1–3 (Grinding Gear Games). Farm of Exile's roundup names Budget Breach Catalyst Farming the cheapest setup: one Breach Tablet shared over a few maps.
- Corrupted Nexus maps can now be retried if failed. Dying to a map boss and respawning no longer stops the Corrupted Boss from spawning (Grinding Gear Games). Clearing a Nexus cleanses the maps around it, and cleansed monsters can drop Fracturing Orbs (Farm of Exile).
Compare PoE2 farming routes by playstyle
| Route | Profit (tracker) | What you do each map | Main risk | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ritual Omen chain | Highest | Clear six rituals, reroll the tribute menu, defer, spend leftover tribute | Bookkeeping errors; 4/5 fights | Players who like menus and routines |
| Delirium splinters | Medium to high | Drop the mirror, clear toward the end, collect | Fog density at 200% | New mappers and travel maps |
| Abyss troves | Medium | Clear every pit, open troves with keys | Overrun maps can skip a pit reward, which looks like a bug | Mid-investment builds |
| Expedition remnants | Medium | Read remnants, play the valuable ones, leave | 5/5 encounter danger | Fast characters |
| Pinnacle bosses | Medium to high, high variance | Buy the key item, fight | One death wastes the item | Strong builds that want no setup |
Plan for alts and returning players
- Alts: on a character without a finished Atlas tree, run Budget Delirium or Omen of Light Abyss while you rebuild the Atlas tree. Ritual Omen farms need the Ritual tree and a T16 clear first. Defeating the Arbiter of Divinity with the non-quest Origin Core now completes the whole Precursor Fortress, which speeds up tree access (Grinding Gear Games).
- Returning players: the farming rules changed in 0.5.5 (Expedition tablets, Abyssal Ravines, Trial of Chaos chests, Grand Mirror fog). Farm of Exile also flags a lower Ritual Omen count than in 0.5.
- Runes of Aldur players: that league is still running. Expedition Tablets can't be obtained there (Grinding Gear Games).
- 1.0 timing: Grinding Gear Games has set the 1.0 launch for December 11, 2026, so plan big purchases with that date in mind. The Path of Exile 2 hub collects the other guides and services for the game.
- Account safety: GGG's terms allow trades with other players for "personal and non-commercial purposes" through the in-game trading tools and official Website APIs. The PoE2 currency and boosting rules guide explains where the line sits.

FAQ
What is the best currency farm in PoE2 0.5.5? On October 28, Farm of Exile ranked the two Rite of the Nameless Ritual Omen farms first, at about 108–111 Divines per hour, with difficulty 4/5 and complexity 4/5. Abyssal Trove Cranium Farming was the best-paying farm rated 3/5.
How do you farm Divine Orbs in PoE2? Mostly by selling what a farm produces rather than waiting for raw Divine drops. Ritual Omens, Delirium Simulacra and splinters, Abyss uniques and pinnacle boss drops all sell for Divines on the Currency Exchange or trade site.
Is T16 better than T15 for Ritual? Yes, for the T16 Rite of the Nameless farm. With the same tablets, the creator's 42-map retest returned about 95 Divines per hour on T16 versus 58 on T15. The City Chains variant still uses T15, because item level 79 covers every purple Omen.
What should a new mapper farm in PoE2? Budget Delirium Splinters. It costs about 1 Divine per 10 maps, is rated 2/5 difficulty and was tracked at about 54 Divines per hour on October 28 (Farm of Exile).
How many Exalted Orbs is a Divine Orb worth? About 670 on poe2base on October 28, or about 10.2 Chaos Orbs. Prices move hourly, so check a live tracker before a big trade.
Does Trial of Chaos still drop corrupted items? No. Since 0.5.5, completed runs pay only Currency and Soul Cores, and each room has its own reward chest (Grinding Gear Games).
