Murder Row Guide: Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ Bosses, Route, Loot

Quick summary

Spend the Fel crystals

You'll find Faceted Crystalline Fel around the first area. Trade it to one of five vendors for a single-use item that goes on your extra action button and buffs you or your group (Method):

Only one player can buy each item. The items don't expire, so you can save them for a boss.

Beat Kystia Manaheart

Kystia's Felshield stacks reduce the damage she takes. Method's plan is to focus her pet, Nibbles. At 20% health Nibbles turns friendly and channels Destabilized. That hits your group hard but increases damage taken, so use DPS cooldowns then. Icy Veins says to keep the two "stacked at all" times so you cleave both.

• Kill the 5 Mirror Images with interrupts or CC.
• Dispel Corroding Spittle.
• Step out of Fel Nova. Point the Fel Spray frontal away from the group.
• Chaos Barrage bounces from the tank to other players (Method).

Work the bar shift

When all 5 players have talked to Selenar Sunshy, the shift starts. Each player gets a random job (Method):

Doing your job raises Satisfaction. At 5 stars the event ends and your group gets Five Star Review. Anyone can interrupt or CC Influential Reviewers to stop Scathing Review. Blizzard's August 18 hotfix extended Five Star Review to 5 minutes (from 4) and made Food Missiles hit fixed spots in the room.

Beat Zaen Bladesorrow

The trash before him is Warehouse Workers (Sharp Nail bleeds) and Keen Taskmasters. Back To Work! enrages nearby workers, so soothe it (Method).

• Same-Day Delivery drops barrels. If you get Fire Bomb, cleave down the Fel-Infused Freight to remove its group damage. Icy Veins says multiple Volatile Barrels stack Fel-Infused Freight.
• Murder in a Row: each player hides behind their own barrel to avoid the bleed (Method, Icy Veins).
• Healers should save a cooldown for Killing Spree. Tanks should use a defensive on Envenom.

Beat Xathuux the Annihilator

The trash here is dangerous. Blizzard's August 18 hotfix removed the Corrupted Warlock and two Wrathguard Flayers that sat before him.

Boss:

• Tank him at the edge of the arena, facing out, so Legion Strike points away from the group.
• If you get Axe Toss, move next to the boss so the Legion Axe lands in cleave range, and kill it fast (Method, Icy Veins).
• Spread for Infernal Crush.
• During Demonic Rage, kite the boss slowly along the edge and use less than half the room each time (Method).

Blizzard fixed Axe Toss sometimes doing less damage than intended on September 1, so it may hit harder than in older videos.

Beat Lithiel Cinderfury

The Defiled Golem (can't be CC'd) channels Defiled Slam and fires Fel Beam lines (Method).

• Rotate kicks on Chaos Bolt.
• Move her away from the Infernal. It can't be killed and stays fixated on the tank. Icy Veins says never let it hit you.
• Tanks pick up the Vilefiend.
• For Fingers of Gul'dan, spread out but overlap the circles. Each hit spawns a Wild Imp that casts Felfire Burst. Since August 25 it targets 4 players instead of 5, prefers non-tanks, and spawns 4 imps instead of 3 (Blizzard). Kick or CC the imps.
• Demonic Gateway: wait for Malefic Wave to finish, then take the gate that comes out on the far side of the wave. Kill adds before the wave reaches them, or they get Malefic Empowerment.

Avoid the common mistakes

• Two players buying the same crystal item. Each item can only be bought once, so assign them before the key starts (Method).
• Ignoring the Bribed Captain. Its Deep Corruption buffs the whole pack, so kill it first.
• Letting a Curse of Doom target die. That summons a Doomguard, which can't be CC'd and casts Doom Bolt.
• Tanking Xathuux in the middle. Demonic Rage puddles fill the room fast. Start at the edge.
• Leaving Lithiel's adds alive near Malefic Wave. They get Malefic Empowerment.
• Using the gateway too early. Wait until Malefic Wave finishes casting, then take the gate on the far side.

Run it on alts or after a break

• Returning for 12.1.5: Season 1 videos show 690 forces, the extra pack, and the 5-target Fingers. From October 20, +10 runs drop Venomstones (Blizzard, via our Mythic+ guide).
• Alts: each character unlocks its own +10 teleport (Icy Veins). Blacksmiths, Enchanters, and Leatherworkers can farm Lithiel for the recipes.
