TBC Anniversary First Aid Leveling Guide 1-375 and Triage
TBC Anniversary first aid leveling 1-375: bandage counts, cloth list, Expert and Master book vendors, a Triage quest plan and heal values per bandage.

In this guide 11 sections
Quick summary
- TBC Anniversary first aid leveling 1-375 has three gates: the Expert First Aid - Under Wraps book (150), the Triage quest (225 skill, level 35), and the Master First Aid - Doctor in the House book in Hellfire Peninsula (300).
- Cloth for 1-375: about 180 Linen, 180 Wool, 150 Silk, 120 Mageweave, 220 Runecloth and 85–120 Netherweave.
- First Aid is a cheap secondary profession that every class can take without using a main slot.
- Last three recipes: Heavy Runecloth to 330, Netherweave to 360, Heavy Netherweave to 375.
- Buy every book while you're at the vendor: each book vendor also sells the next bandage manuals. In TBC the last manual needs skill 360 to learn; trainers only took over in patch 3.1 (Warcraft Wiki), so the books still matter on Anniversary realms.
This guide covers the Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary realms in Phase 3.5. Bandage recipes and vendors are unchanged from the original 2.4 game.
Know why First Aid is worth it
Bandages are a mana-free heal that any class can use. They matter most for Warriors and Rogues while leveling and in Arena, and they help healers save mana in dungeons and raids (Icy Veins). For melee classes with no self-heal, First Aid is close to mandatory.
How bandages work (Icy Veins):
- A bandage is a targeted channel. Use it on yourself or a nearby ally.
- Any damage to the target stops the channel.
- Afterward the target gets Recently Bandaged, which blocks bandages for 60 seconds.
Buy the cloth
| Cloth | Amount for 1-375 |
|---|---|
| Linen Cloth | 160–180 |
| Wool Cloth | 125–180 |
| Silk Cloth | 125–150 |
| Mageweave Cloth | 100–120 |
| Runecloth | 200–220 (about 80 before Triage, 140 after) |
| Netherweave Cloth | 85–120 |
These are averages: bad luck on yellow recipes means more cloth, good luck means leftovers, so bring the higher figure in each row. Keep what drops while you level, or buy it on the Auction House; Tailors compete for the same Netherweave, as the Tailoring leveling guide shows.
Follow the route
| Skill | Craft | Count | Cloth | Recipe source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1-40 | Linen Bandage | 50 | 50 Linen | Trainer |
| 40-80 | Heavy Linen Bandage | 65 | 130 Linen | Trainer (learn Journeyman on the way) |
| 80-115 | Wool Bandage | 60 | 60 Wool | Trainer |
| 115-150 | Heavy Wool Bandage | 60 | 120 Wool | Trainer |
| 150-180 | Silk Bandage | 50 | 50 Silk | Trainer (learn before leaving) |
| 180-210 | Heavy Silk Bandage | 50 | 100 Silk | Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage |
| 210-240 | Mageweave Bandage | 60 | 60 Mageweave | Manual: Mageweave Bandage (Triage at 225) |
| 240-260 | Heavy Mageweave Bandage | 30 | 60 Mageweave | Triage quest giver |
| 260-290 | Runecloth Bandage | 50 | 50 Runecloth | Triage quest giver |
| 290-330 | Heavy Runecloth Bandage | 85 | 170 Runecloth | Triage quest giver (Master book at 300) |
| 330-360 | Netherweave Bandage | 45 | 45 Netherweave | Manual: Netherweave Bandage |
| 360-375 | Heavy Netherweave Bandage | 20 | 40 Netherweave | Manual: Heavy Netherweave Bandage |
Counts are approximate and include a few extra crafts for yellow recipes.
Example: at 225 you've made 30 of the 60 Mageweave Bandages. Stop, do Triage, then make the other 30. Bandages made after you hit the cap give no points, so don't over-craft before the quest.
Make the book runs
| Book | Skill | Horde vendor | Alliance vendor | Also buy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Expert First Aid - Under Wraps | 150 | Balai Lok'Wein, Dustwallow Marsh (37, 30) | Deneb Walker, Arathi Highlands (27, 59) | Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage, Manual: Mageweave Bandage |
| Master First Aid - Doctor in the House | 300 | Aresella, Falcon Watch, Hellfire Peninsula (26.2, 62.0) | Burko, Temple of Telhamat, Hellfire Peninsula (22.4, 39.2) | Manual: Netherweave Bandage, Manual: Heavy Netherweave Bandage |
Coordinates are approximate.
All six books can be bought and sold on the Auction House (Warcraft Tavern), which helps low-level characters who'd rather not travel. You won't need a regular trainer after 180.
Trainers for 1-150 are in every capital. Horde: Arnok (Orgrimmar), Mary Edras (Undercity), Pand Stonebinder (Thunder Bluff), Alestus (Silvermoon). Alliance: Shaina Fuller (Stormwind), Nissa Firestone (Ironforge), Dannelor (Darnassus), Nus (Exodar). Starting zones also have trainers, such as Nurse Neela (Tirisfal), Rawrk (Durotar), Michelle Belle (Elwynn) and Thamner Pol (Dun Morogh).
Complete Triage
You need level 35 and 225 First Aid. The optional Trauma breadcrumb quest leads to Triage.
| Horde | Alliance | |
|---|---|---|
| Quest giver | Doctor Gregory Victor, Hammerfall, Arathi Highlands (73, 37) | Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen, Theramore Isle, Dustwallow Marsh (68, 49) |
| Where exactly | The first building on your left as you enter Hammerfall | Inside the main keep (not the tower): right, then left, corner room |
The goal: save 15 patients with the provided Triage Bandages before 6 die (Icy Veins).
| Patient | State | Dies after you heal |
|---|---|---|
| Undead | Critically Injured | 2 other patients |
| Troll | Badly Injured | 4 other patients |
| Orc | Injured | Has a long time |
Step plan:
- Bring all the cloth up to 290 before you go, since the doctor teaches the next recipes: about 100 Mageweave and 70 Runecloth.
- Turn on NPC health bars and names (Ctrl+V, or "Show NPC names" in the interface options) and zoom the camera out.
- Put the quest's Triage Bandages on your bar. Don't use your own bandages.
- Stand in the middle. Warcraft Tavern says you can reach every patient without moving.
- Heal critical, then badly injured, then injured. Pre-select the next patient while you're channeling to save seconds.
- Don't interrupt a channel because a new critical patient appears (Warcraft Tavern).
- Turn in right after the 15th save. If you wait, more patients can die after the 15th save, and six deaths fails the quest even after you've hit the target.
After Triage, the same doctor teaches Heavy Mageweave, Runecloth and Heavy Runecloth Bandages as you reach 240, 260 and 290.
Pick the right bandage
| Bandage | Heals | Over |
|---|---|---|
| Linen | 66 | 6 sec |
| Heavy Linen | 114 | 6 sec |
| Wool | 161 | 7 sec |
| Heavy Wool | 301 | 7 sec |
| Silk | 400 | 8 sec |
| Heavy Silk | 640 | 8 sec |
| Mageweave | 800 | 8 sec |
| Heavy Mageweave | 1,104 | 8 sec |
| Runecloth | 1,360 | 8 sec |
| Heavy Runecloth | 2,000 | 8 sec |
| Netherweave | 2,800 | 8 sec |
| Heavy Netherweave | 3,400 | 8 sec |
Values from Icy Veins; Heavy Netherweave's 3,400 over 8 seconds matches the Warcraft Wiki item page.
Example: at 70, Heavy Netherweave heals 3,400, which is 600 more than Netherweave. Keep your extra 360-375 bandages for Arena or raid emergencies.
Avoid these mistakes
- Leaving the trainer without the Silk Bandage recipe before you go for the Expert book.
- Buying only the Expert or Master book. Both vendors sell the next two manuals.
- Starting Triage without cloth. You'll have to come back for the next three recipes.
- Waiting after the 15th save. Turn in right away.
- Making Netherweave Bandages at 300. They only start giving points at 330.
- Bandaging while you take damage. Damage stops the channel (Icy Veins).
Return, boost, or level an alt
- Returning player at 300: fly to Falcon Watch (Horde) or the Temple of Telhamat (Alliance), buy the Master book and both manuals, and bring about 140 Runecloth and 85 Netherweave.
- Boosted or fresh 70: 1-300 is mostly Classic cloth from the Auction House. The book runs are the time cost: Arathi/Dustwallow for Expert, the Triage town, then Hellfire.
- Leveling alt: level First Aid with the cloth that drops as you quest. Warriors and Rogues in particular gain downtime-free healing early; the leveling guide 1–70 shows where each cloth tier drops along the route.
- Raider or PvPer: keep Heavy Netherweave Bandages on your bars. They save healer mana on trash and can decide Arena games; the PvP arena comps guide covers when you get a safe window to use them.
The other two secondary professions are in the Cooking and Fishing guides, and every main profession is in the professions leveling guide. The TBC Anniversary professions page lists profession services from independent sellers, and everything else is on the TBC Anniversary hub.
