TBC Anniversary Consortium Reputation Guide: Fast Exalted

Quick summary

• The fastest Consortium reputation route in TBC Anniversary is every one-time quest first, then Zaxxis Insignias plus a daily Heroic Mana-Tombs and both Lower City dungeon dailies. There is no open-world kill rep.
• Turn-ins change by standing: Ivory Tusks and Oshu'gun Crystal Fragments until Friendly; Obsidian Warbeads and Zaxxis Insignias from Friendly to Exalted; Ethereum Prisoner I.D. Tags from Honored (Warcraft Wiki).
• Heroic Mana-Tombs counts to Exalted, and its key (the Auchenai Key) comes from Lower City, not the Consortium. Since the October 22, 2026 Zul'Aman update it needs only Honored (Icy Veins).
• Exalted is 42,000 rep from Neutral. One-time quests cover roughly a quarter to a third of it, depending on which chains you do. Humans get 10% more from every source.

This guide reflects Phase 3.5 of the Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary realms. Rep values match the original 2.4 game, and the October 22 update also set every heroic to its final, easier tuning, so Heroic Mana-Tombs is a quicker daily than it was at launch.

The Lower City dailies pay Consortium rep whatever dungeon they name (Warcraft Wiki), and the normal daily also rewards an Ethereum Prison Key. The full per-quest list is on Warcraft Tavern's Consortium page.

Plan your route by standing

Those counts are the worst case. Every one-time quest you do first cuts them. Example: you finish every quest while levelling and reach Honored with about 2,000 into the bar. You now need about 31,000 more. A daily routine of Heroic Mana-Tombs (~2,100–2,400), the heroic daily (350) and the normal daily (250) is roughly 2,700–3,000 a day, so about 11 days with no farming at all. Add Zaxxis Insignias on the side to shorten that.

Neutral to Friendly: start in Nagrand

1. Pick up The Consortium Needs You! from the Consortium Recruiter outside Telaar (Alliance) or Garadar (Horde) before any other Consortium quest. It disappears once you've done another one.
2. At Aeris Landing, pick up A Head Full of Ivory and Stealing from Thieves.
3. Turn in one, repeat it to Friendly, then turn in the other. The first-time quests still pay at Friendly, so this order gets you one extra turn-in you'd otherwise lose.
4. Ivory Tusks drop from Wild Elekk. Crystal Fragments come from Vir'aani Raiders and the ground around Oshu'gun. Both are tradeable.
5. Do Matters of Security and Gava'xi (250 each) at Aeris Landing.
6. Do the three Mana-Tombs quests from Eckert (Allerian Stronghold, Alliance) or Grek (Stonebreaker Hold, Horde), worth 1,350 rep together. Where Auchindoun's wings sit, and their level ranges, is in the TBC Anniversary dungeons guide.

Friendly to Honored: sweep the Netherstorm hubs

Warcraft Tavern says Consortium quests open at level 67 at Area 52, Midrealm Post and the Stormspire, and at 68 at Tuluman's Landing and the Protectorate Watch Post. Do them in this order to fly in a loop.

Honored to Revered: open the Ethereum Prisons

1. At Honored, pick up Seek Out Ameer at the Stormspire (10).
2. Complete A Mission of Mercy for Commander Ameer at the Protectorate Watch Post (350). Ethereum Prison Keys now drop from ethereals in Netherstorm, Blade's Edge, Mana-Tombs and the Arcatraz (Warcraft Tavern).
3. Do Escape from the Staging Grounds (250) and Ethereum Secrets (250).
4. Open Ethereum Prisons at the Ethereum Staging Grounds. A hostile prisoner drops an Ethereum Prisoner I.D. Tag for the 250-rep catalogue quest. A friendly prisoner gives 500 rep with a random Outland faction instead.
5. Farm Zaxxis Raiders and Zaxxis Stalkers at the Heap, south of Area 52. Insignias drop from roughly half of kills on community databases, and keys drop there too, so one farm feeds two turn-ins.

Revered to Exalted: pick the fastest mix

At Revered, Commander Ameer offers A Thousand Worlds, which leads to Bash'ir's Landing in Blade's Edge (Warcraft Tavern):

The best mix for most players: Zaxxis Insignias whenever you have time, plus Heroic Mana-Tombs and both dailies every day.

Run Heroic Mana-Tombs for rep

• Get the Auchenai Key from Nakodu in Lower City at Honored with Lower City (Honored since October 22, 2026; it was Revered before). The Consortium doesn't sell it.
• Clear every pack. Trash is 15 rep on heroic, bosses 250. Bosses are Pandemonius, Tavarok and Nexus-Prince Shaffar, plus Yor in the stasis chamber.
• Open Yor's chamber with an Ethereum Stasis Chamber Key, or with The Eye of Haramad at Exalted, which opens it for good (Warcraft Tavern). A full heroic clear with Yor is worth roughly 2,350 rep.
• The heroic dungeons and keys guide lists all five keys and the reputations behind them.

Do this daily routine

1. Check both Lower City givers outside the inn and take both dailies.
2. Run Heroic Mana-Tombs, and the daily dungeons if they're different.
3. Collect Membership Benefits from Gezhe once a month from Friendly: a gem bag that improves with standing.
4. Farm Zaxxis for a set block and turn in at Area 52. Open any prisons with the keys you collect.
5. Note your rep before and after so you know which part of the routine pays.

Pick the rewards worth the grind

Karaaz (Stormspire, 43.6, 34.3) and Paulsta'ats (Aeris Landing, Nagrand) sell the same items. Ythyar in Karazhan sells three more designs (Warcraft Tavern).

The faction is mainly worth Exalted for Jewelcrafters; for everyone else, Honored and the quests you'd do anyway are enough. If you're returning, boosted, or on an alt

• Returning players: check which repeatables you can see. If Gezhe offers More Obsidian Warbeads, you're past the Nagrand stage.
• Boosted characters: a level-boosted 70 can skip straight to Netherstorm, but still has to pick up The Consortium Needs You! first if it wants that 10 rep, and needs the Area 52 chain before Zaxxis turn-ins open.
• Alts: Tusks and Crystal Fragments are tradeable, so a main can farm them for an alt's Neutral to Friendly. Warbeads and Insignias are Bind on Pickup.
