TBC Anniversary Sporeggar Reputation Guide: Fastest Exalted Route
Sporeggar reputation guide for TBC Anniversary: Fahssn turn-ins, the hold-until-Revered trick, Underbog Hibiscus runs, Glowcap costs, Tiny Sporebat.

In this guide 9 sections
Quick summary
- Sporeggar starts at Unfriendly, so Exalted is up to 45,000 rep away: 3,000 to Neutral, 3,000 to Friendly, 6,000 to Honored, 12,000 to Revered and 21,000 to Exalted. Humans need about 10% less.
- Fahssn's two turn-ins carry you to Friendly. Each pays 750 and stops at Friendly, so hold one of them back (Warcraft Wiki, Wowhead).
- Bog Lord and Giant kills stop paying at Revered, so save the one-time Friendly quests until then (Warcraft Tavern).
- Sanguine Hibiscus from the Underbog and Fertile Spores are the repeatable turn-ins that go to Exalted. Both are tradeable (Wowhead).
- Rewards cost Glowcaps, not gold. Every item on Mycah's list adds up to about 230 Glowcaps, so don't spend them on rep.
This Sporeggar reputation guide for TBC Anniversary gives one ordered route from Unfriendly to Exalted, with the quests to hold back, the farm for each standing and the Glowcap cost of every reward. Phase 3.5 changed nothing about the faction itself. The one related change from the October 22 Zul'Aman update is that the Reservoir Key for heroic Underbog now needs only Honored with Cenarion Expedition.
Every Sporeggar reputation source
| Source | Rep | Works | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Natural Enemies, then More Tendrils! (6 Bog Lord Tendrils) | 750 | Until Friendly | Fahssn, Spawning Glen |
| The Sporelings' Plight, then More Spore Sacs (10 Mature Spore Sacs) | 750 | Until Friendly | Fahssn, Spawning Glen |
| Sporeggar (breadcrumb, from Neutral) | 750 | One time | Fahssn to Sporeggar town |
| Glowcap Mushrooms, then More Glowcaps (10 Glowcaps) | 750 | Until Friendly | Msshi'fn, Sporeggar |
| Fertile Spores, then More Fertile Spores (6 Fertile Spores) | 750 | Friendly to Exalted | Gshaff, Sporeggar |

| Bring Me A Shrubbery!, then Bring Me Another Shrubbery! (5 Sanguine Hibiscus) | 750 | Friendly to Exalted | Gzhun'tt, Sporeggar |
| Oh, It's On! and Stalk the Stalker (Underbog) | 1,050 each | From Neutral | Sporeggar |
| Fhwoor Smash! (group) | 1,050 | One time, from Friendly | Sporeggar |
| Bog Lords, Bog Giants, Fungal Giants | 15 per kill | Until Revered | Spawning Glen, Dead Mire, Quagg Ridge |
| Marsh Dredgers, Marsh Lurkers, Lord Klaq | 15 per kill | To Exalted | Funggor Cavern |
| Underbog trash / bosses | 20 / 250 | To Exalted, normal and heroic | Coilfang Reservoir |
The quest values come from Warcraft Tavern's quest table and Warcraft Wiki. The mob values come from Icy Veins and Warcraft Tavern. The first completion of each quest above adds up to about 8,400 rep: seven quests in Zangarmarsh and three tied to the Underbog.
Sporeggar route by standing
| Standing | Rep to clear | Best method | Count if you used only that |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unfriendly → Neutral | 3,000 (less if you start partway) | More Tendrils! or More Spore Sacs | 4 turn-ins |
| Neutral → Friendly | 3,000 | The same Fahssn turn-in, plus the Sporeggar and Glowcap Mushrooms one-timers | 4 turn-ins, or 2 after the one-timers |
| Friendly → Honored | 6,000 | Bog Lord and Giant kills | 400 kills, or 8 turn-ins |
| Honored → Revered | 12,000 | Bog Lord kills, Underbog clears | 800 kills, or 16 turn-ins |
| Revered → Exalted | 21,000 | Held one-time quests, Hibiscus, Spores, the naga quest | 28 turn-ins (140 Hibiscus or 168 Fertile Spores) |
Example: you do Fahssn's two quests at level 62 while questing, hold The Sporelings' Plight, and reach Friendly. At Revered you turn in Sporeggar's held quests: Fertile Spores, Now That We're Friends..., Bring Me A Shrubbery! and Fhwoor Smash!. That's about 3,300 rep in one visit, and you have 17,700 left: 24 Hibiscus turn-ins, or 120 Hibiscus, for a non-human.
How to start Sporeggar rep: Fahssn, Unfriendly to Friendly
- Reach level 60–61 and find Fahssn on the road into the Spawning Glen in southwest Zangarmarsh. Warcraft Tavern puts him at 19.2, 64.2. He's the only Sporeggar NPC who won't attack you yet.
- Pick up both quests: Natural Enemies (6 Bog Lord Tendrils) and The Sporelings' Plight (10 Mature Spore Sacs). If you haven't picked them up by Friendly, you can't complete them (Warcraft Tavern).
- Turn in only one. Repeat its follow-up (More Tendrils! or More Spore Sacs) until Friendly. Then turn in the quest you held, which still pays at Friendly (Warcraft Wiki, Wowhead).
- Pick the item you'll farm. Mature Spore Sacs grow on the ground in the Spawning Glen and are Bind on Pickup. Bog Lord Tendrils drop from Bog Lords and Giants in the Spawning Glen, Dead Mire and Quagg Ridge and are tradeable (Warcraft Wiki, Warcraft Tavern). Tendrils suit players with gold. Spore Sacs suit players who'd rather loot the ground.
- At Neutral, take the Sporeggar quest from Fahssn and fly to the town. Complete Glowcap Mushrooms once for 750. Skip the repeatable More Glowcaps, because Glowcaps buy every reward (Warcraft Tavern, Warcraft Wiki).
Friendly to Revered: kill Bog Lords and save the quests
At Friendly, the town opens Fertile Spores (Gshaff), Now That We're Friends... (Gzhun'tt) and the group quest Fhwoor Smash!. Warcraft Wiki's advice is to pick them up and even complete them, but not to hand them in until Revered. The reason: Bog Lord and Giant kills stop paying at Revered, so every quest you hold until then is rep that kills can't replace later.
| Hold until Revered? | Quest | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Yes | Fertile Spores | Repeatable to Exalted anyway |
| Yes | Now That We're Friends... | Repeatable to Exalted anyway |
| Yes | Bring Me A Shrubbery! | Collect Hibiscus now, hand in later |
| Yes | Fhwoor Smash! | One-time 1,050 that never expires |
| No | Oh, It's On! and Stalk the Stalker | Hand in with your Underbog runs |
Farm the Bog Lord route
- Where: the Spawning Glen near Fahssn, then the Dead Mire and Quagg Ridge (Warcraft Tavern). Bog Lords are levels 62–64 according to Wowhead.
- What you get: 15 rep per kill, the odd Bog Lord Tendril, plus Mote of Life and Unidentified Plant Parts if you're an herbalist. The plant parts count for Cenarion Expedition (Warcraft Tavern, Warcraft Wiki).
- When to stop: at Revered. Warcraft Tavern, Icy Veins and Wowhead all put the cap there, so plan your switch to the Funggor Cavern or the Underbog at Revered.
Or loop the Funggor Cavern
Marsh Dredgers, Marsh Lurkers and the named Lord Klaq in the Funggor Cavern, south of the Cenarion Refuge, give 15 rep each all the way to Exalted (Wowhead, Warcraft Wiki). Warcraft Wiki describes running in and out of the cave: by the time you clear the mobs outside, the ones inside have started to respawn. Use this when the Bog Lords are crowded or you're past Revered.
Revered to Exalted: pick the fastest mix
At Revered, hand in every held quest, then repeat whichever turn-in suits you.
Run the Underbog for Sanguine Hibiscus
- Get to the Underbog in Coilfang Reservoir. Wowhead notes that geared level 70s can loot the early part of normal mode easily.
- Kill everything and loot the Hibiscus from mobs and ground nodes. Warcraft Wiki says the nodes respawn fast, so a second pass after the last boss can give another one or two turn-ins.
- Kill all four bosses: Hungarfen, Ghaz'an, Swamplord Musel'ek and The Black Stalker. Bosses give 250 and trash 20, on normal or heroic, to Exalted (Icy Veins). Warcraft Wiki puts a normal full clear at about 3,300 rep before turn-ins.
- Hand in five Hibiscus at a time to Gzhun'tt.
Warcraft Wiki's counts: about 220 Hibiscus from Honored to Exalted, or about 140 from Revered (about 200 and 130 for humans).
Heroic Underbog uses the Reservoir Key from the Cenarion Expedition. Since October 22, 2026, heroic keys need Honored instead of Revered (Blizzard's Zul'Aman post). Our heroic dungeons and keys guide lists all five keys.
Or fly the naga and sporebat loop
Warcraft Wiki describes a flying loop. Kill the Greater Sporebats in northwest Zangarmarsh for Fertile Spores, then kill the Bloodscale naga on the islands in Marshlight Lake, just northeast of Sporeggar, for Now That We're Still Friends.... Turn both in, then repeat while the naga respawn. Warcraft Wiki's community estimate is about 3,000 rep every 15 minutes with a flying mount. Treat that as a best case.
Fertile Spores drop from Sporebats, Greater Sporebats, Sporewings, Fen Striders, Marsh Striders and Boglash (Warcraft Tavern). Warcraft Wiki estimates about a 30% drop rate (community figure). Each More Fertile Spores turn-in also gives a Glowcap.
Compare the methods
| Method | Rep | Pros | Cons | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bog Lord and Giant kills | 15 each | Solo, also feeds Cenarion Expedition | Stops at Revered | Herbalists, early stages |
| Funggor Cavern loop | 15 each | Solo, works to Exalted, fast respawns | Slow per kill | Players who want a mindless loop |
| Underbog clears + Hibiscus | ~3,300 per clear + 750 per 5 Hibiscus | Biggest chunk, gear drops | Needs a group or an overgeared 70 | Groups, Cenarion Expedition farmers |
| Naga quest + Fertile Spores loop | 750 per completion | Solo, Glowcaps from spores | Needs flying, spores are random | Solo 70s with flying |
| Buying Tendrils, Spores or Hibiscus | 750 per turn-in | Fastest | Costs gold, depends on the auction house | Players with gold, not time |
Our pick, in line with Wowhead and Warcraft Wiki: Bog Lords to Revered while you farm Cenarion Expedition, the held quests at Revered, then Underbog clears or the flying loop to Exalted.
Sporeggar rewards and Glowcap costs
Mycah, the quartermaster, is in a small mushroom building on the west side of Sporeggar at about 17.9, 51.1 (Warcraft Tavern). He takes Glowcaps only, which you loot from the ground around Zangarmarsh or get from More Fertile Spores (Icy Veins). Costs below are from Icy Veins and Warcraft Wiki.
| Standing | Reward | Glowcaps | Who wants it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Neutral | Recipe: Clam Bar (Cooking 300) | 1 | Cooks |
| Neutral | Marsh Lichen | 2 | Consumable |
| Friendly | Tallstalk Mushroom | 2 | Consumable |
| Honored | Muck-Covered Drape (cloak) | 25 | Healers |
| Honored | Petrified Lichen Guard (shield) | 15 | Tanks |
| Honored | Redcap Toadstool | 1 | Consumable |
| Revered | Hardened Stone Shard (dagger) | 45 | Rogues and melee |
| Revered | Sporeling's Firestick (wand) | 20 | Casters |
| Revered | Recipe: Transmute Primal Earth to Water (Alchemy 350) | 25 | Alchemists |
| Revered | Pattern: Mycah's Botanical Bag (Tailoring 375) | 25 | Tailors, herbalists |
| Exalted | Sporeggar Tabard | 10 | Collectors |
| Exalted | Recipe: Shrouding Potion (Alchemy 335) | 30 | Alchemists |
| Exalted | Tiny Sporebat | 30 | Pet collectors |
One of everything costs 231 Glowcaps. Fhwoor Smash! also gives a choice of Hewing Axe of the Marsh, Sporeling Claw or Sporeggar Smasher (Warcraft Wiki). Warcraft Wiki notes that Glowcap rewards can't be sold to vendors. Every More Glowcaps turn-in costs 10 of the 231, which is why it's worth skipping.
If you're returning, boosted, or on an alt
- Returning players: open your reputation pane. If you're Friendly and Fahssn's repeatables are gone, go straight to Sporeggar town and check which one-time quests you still hold.
- Boosted characters: a level-boosted 70 skipped Zangarmarsh, so every first-time quest is still available. That's about 8,400 rep before you farm anything. Our leveling guide shows where Zangarmarsh fits if you're still leveling.
- Alts: Bog Lord Tendrils, Fertile Spores and Sanguine Hibiscus are tradeable (Wowhead, Warcraft Wiki), so a main can farm them for an alt. Mature Spore Sacs aren't.
- Cenarion Expedition overlap: the Underbog, the Bog Lords and the plant parts all count for both. See our Cenarion Expedition reputation guide.
- Cooks: Clam Bar is a Sporeggar recipe. Our cooking leveling guide shows where it fits.
- Herbalists and skinners: the Bog Lord route sits in the same Zangarmarsh zones as the 325–350 brackets in our professions leveling guide, and any skinnable beasts you kill along the way count toward our Skinning guide route.
- Next faction: once Sporeggar is done, the Sha'tar reputation guide is the next long grind most players need for heroic keys.
