Blunt weapons are the Page's crafted weapon line, but most of the 31 in MapleStory Classic World aren't Warrior weapons at all. Twenty-one one-handed blunts run from the 50-meso Wooden Club to novelty Plungers, briefcases and the Lollipop, which carries magic attack. Ten two-handed blunts run from the Wooden Mallet to the level 70 Gigantic Sledge. This MapleStory Classic blunt weapon guide lists all of them with attack, speed, needs, price and source. It covers the five shops, the nine craftable blunt recipes, the Page's blunt skills, and blunt vs sword and axe damage with and without Booster, for the live Grand Launch game.
Quick summary
- 31 blunts: 21 one-handed and 10 two-handed. Most two-handed blunts are Slow (7), among the slowest Warrior weapons (MapleStory Quest, Public Release client).
- Five launch shops sell blunts: River in Perion, Flora in Ellinia, Karl in Henesys, Silver in Lith Harbor and Cutthroat Manny in Kerning City (NiaMeowDB launch prices).
- Nine blunts are craftable across three crafts. The Sledgehammer (7) and Titan (8) are the Page's main targets. The Golden Mole needs Weaponcrafting 10, past the craft level 8 cap that Grand Launch kept (MapleStory Quest).
- For a Page with Booster, a two-handed blunt is about even with a two-handed sword per minute and 6–12% stronger per hit (our math on henesys.gg's multipliers and NiaMeowDB's speed ladder).
- Fighters should stay on axes: at the same multiplier, axes are faster, and our math puts them 1–6% ahead per minute with Booster.

Craft the blunt line

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Steel Pipe | Weaponcrafting 1 | 10 | 1 Iron Ingot | 1,500 |
| Leather Purse | Leatherworking 2 | 12 | 4 Processed Leather, 6 Screws, 6 Spools of Thread | 1,900 |

| Titan | Weaponcrafting 8 | 40 | 4 Iron Ingots, 2 Silver Ingots, 2 Gold Ingots, 24 Screws | 11,500 |
| Golden Mole | Weaponcrafting 10 (not at launch) | 50 | 5 Bronze Ingots, 5 Gold Ingots, 6 Diamonds, 30 Screws | 16,500 |
Recipes come from MapleStory Quest. Its crafting ladder says the Public Release's crafting stops at 8, and Grand Launch kept that cap, so the Golden Mole waits. That's 9 craftable blunts out of 10 recipes. The Titan and the axe line's Sabretooth share a recipe, so one Weaponcrafter can supply Fighters and Pages. See our Weaponcrafting guide.
Our math on inputs: ingots take 5 ore each, and one Screw craft makes 10 Screws. A Titan takes 20 Iron, 10 Silver and 10 Gold Ore, plus 3 Screw crafts.
Settle blunt vs sword vs axe
Henesys.gg gives two-handed blunts and axes the same 3.0 swing and 2.0 stab multipliers (about 2.6 average), against 2.5 for a two-handed sword. One-handed blunts and axes get 2.4 and 1.2 (about 1.92) against 1.8 for a one-handed sword. Blunts carry more attack but swing slower. With Booster, a Slow (7) blunt reaches tier 5 (80 attacks a minute), while a Fast (5) sword or axe reaches tier 3 (90 a minute) (NiaMeowDB, in our attack speed guide).
Our math, Page view (two-handed blunt vs two-handed sword, typical stats, full formula):
| Level | Blunt | Sword | Per hit | Per minute, no Booster | Per minute, Booster |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 30 | Mithril Maul | Aluminum Baseball Bat | +6.9% | −1.1% | −1.4% |
| 35 | Sledgehammer | Lionheart | +12.3% | −4.5% | −0.2% |
| 40 | Titan | Zard | +11.6% | −5.1% | −0.8% |
| 50 | Golden Mole | Lion's Fang | +6.0% | −2.6% | +2.1% |
| 60 | The Blessing | Sparta | +5.7% | −2.9% | +1.9% |
| 70 | Gigantic Sledge | Doombringer | +5.5% | −3.1% | +1.7% |
Fighter view (two-handed blunt vs two-handed axe, with Booster): Mithril Maul −4.1%, Sledgehammer −3.0%, Titan −3.7%, Golden Mole −1.0%, The Blessing −5.6%, Gigantic Sledge −1.5%. Fighters can use blunts but have no Blunt Booster, so stay on axes (our axes guide).
One-handed: a one-handed blunt beats the same-level one-handed sword by 2.5–4.7% without Booster (War Hammer vs Gladius, Jacker vs Traus, Knuckle Mace vs Jeweled Katar). Two-handed blunts deal about 17–23% more than one-handed ones per minute.
Our read: for a Page, the bigger hit decides it. Per minute is a wash with Booster, but 6–12% more per hit means fewer hits on monsters near a kill threshold, and the blunt line is craftable. Our Page guide covers the skill build, and our swords guide covers the sword side.
Page blunt weapon skills: Mastery, Booster and Final Attack
The numbers above compare weapons; the Page's skills decide how a blunt actually plays. NiaMeowDB's Blunt Weapon Mastery page and its Final Attack page give the live values:
| Skill | Max level | What it does at max | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blunt Weapon Mastery | 20 | Mastery level 10 and Critical Damage +20% | Only with a blunt equipped. Sword Mastery gives Accuracy +20 instead |
| Blunt Weapon Booster | 20 | Raises the attack speed of the equipped blunt | The source of the Slow (7) to tier 5 jump in the speed math above |
| Final Attack: Blunt Weapon | 30 | 25% chance per attack to enable a 360% single-target follow-up, 16 MP | The window lasts 60 seconds since Grand Launch |
Blunt Mastery's critical damage rewards crits that a sword build doesn't get, so the per-hit gap in the table above is a floor, not a ceiling. Classic World changed both masteries from the original game, as our World vs original MapleStory guide explains, and the full math sits in our damage formula guide.
Example: a level 40 Page with a Titan and max Final Attack gets Final Attack enabled roughly one attack in four, then casts it for 360%. Each cast keeps the Titan's 11.6% per-hit edge over a Zard, which matters most on the drakes of Dangerous Valley and on the Jr. Balrog fight.
Use blunts on a Magician
The Mace, Iron Mace and Fusion Mace are Warrior and Magician weapons (MapleStory Quest). They have no magic attack, so they don't help spells. The Lollipop is the exception: +15 magic attack, no job lock, and only 10 of each stat to equip. Our Cleric guide covers Cleric weapons. Wands and staves are still better for spells.
Scroll your blunt
| Scroll | Success | Effect | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blunt Weapon Attack Scroll: Lesser | 100% | +1 attack | None |
| Intermediate | 60% | +2 | None |
| Greater | 10% | +4 | None |
| Chaos | 10% | +5 | 50% to destroy |
Odds come from MapleStory Quest. El Moth sells One-Handed Blunt Weapon Lessers for 30,000 mesos and Two-handed Blunt Weapon Lessers for 60,000 (NiaMeowDB). Higher tiers come from quests: Building a New House for Blackbull and Taking Out the Alligators 1 each offer a Two-handed Blunt Weapon Attack Scroll: Greater as a pick, and Jane and the Mushroom gives the Intermediate at a 7.14% chance (henesys.gg). Our math: seven Lessers on a Titan cost 420,000 mesos and take it from 65 to 72 attack, about 11% more damage. Our scrolling guide covers the tiers.
Handle alts and returning players
- Returning players: no launch shop sells a level 30 blunt, so buy the Square Hammer, then craft the Sledgehammer at 35 (NiaMeowDB; MapleStory Quest).
- Thief and Bowman alts: the Wooden Mallet and Monkey Wrench work for Warriors, Bowmen and Thieves, and the shovels for Warriors and Thieves. They're stopgaps only; see our daggers guide and bows guide for the real weapons.
- Budgeting a Page: the crafted blunt line keeps the Page among the cheaper jobs to gear; our class costs guide compares every second job.
- Weaponcrafters: the Titan and Sabretooth share a recipe, so craft whichever sells.
- Rushing a Page: faster levels won't raise Weaponcrafting, so you'll still need a crafter, or your own Smithing ingots, for the Titan.

What changed for blunt weapons at Grand Launch
Grand Launch (v1.0.0, October 21, 2026) left every blunt's stats, shop and recipe as listed above, and crafting still stops at craft level 8, so the Golden Mole stays out of reach. Two changes matter to blunt users, per Nexon's Grand Launch maintenance notes:
- Final Attack lasts 60 seconds instead of 30 for every Warrior Final Attack, including Blunt Weapon, so each 25% trigger gives you twice as long to use it.
- Iron Body and Improved HP Recovery were buffed: Iron Body now gives +20% to +40% Weapon Def. (was +5% to +25%), and HP potions restore 20% to 50% more (was 5% to 20%). Both make a slow, melee Page safer on drakes.
The Pumpkin Basket, a +27 one-handed sword from the Halloween event running to November 18, is a sword, not a blunt; it doesn't change the picks here. Third job, Orbis and El Nath are still closed, so Ossyrian blunts aren't in the game yet. Our patch notes tracker lists every update.
The MapleStory Classic hub gathers every guide and service for the game.
