THE GUIDE

Quick summary

  • Both of our sources favor a two-handed blunt weapon before Orbis opens. You can craft the Sledgehammer (Lv 35), Titan (Lv 40), and Golden Mole (Lv 50) at Weaponcrafting 7, 8, and 10 (planet-helper, mscw-guidebook).
  • The catch is scrolls. Two-handed blunt attack scrolls have no drop source in the Beta 2 data, while two-handed sword scrolls do drop (planet-helper).
  • Max Threaten lowers Weapon DEF by 10 and speed by 35 on up to 4 monsters for 30 seconds. Every physical attacker in your party benefits, but it does nothing to DEF on a 0-DEF monster.
  • Spend your 121 SP on one weapon line: Mastery 20, Final Attack 30, Threaten 30, Booster 20, Rush 20. That's 120 SP with 1 left over. Never split points across both lines.
  • Page's Final Attack hits one target for 360% at max. Mscw-guidebook says a Fighter's 200% Final Attack needs 1.8 targets to match it.

Checked against the Founder's Access build on October 13, 2026. Grand Launch is October 21, 2026; see the end of the guide for what may change.

Decide whether Page fits you

Mscw-guidebook says the Page suits tough single targets, monster control, and physical parties that gain from lower enemy defense. Planet-helper builds its whole route around Threaten and the crafted blunt line. Threaten has to go on each fresh group, so the job takes more input than a five-minute buff. On crowded maps, compare our Fighter guide, since Fighter Final Attack hits up to 3 targets.

Build first job

Mscw-guidebook gives three 61-SP builds and recommends Standard for most players:

Skill Standard Single-target Multi-target
Improved HP Recovery 3 15 15
Max HP Increase 3 3 3
Precise Strikes 15 15 15
Iron Body 0 7 7
Power Strike 20 20 1
Slash Blast 20 1 20

Planet-helper's first-job order matches Standard: HP Recovery 3, Max HP 3, Precise Strikes 15, Power Strike 20, Slash Blast 20. Mscw-guidebook notes these first-job attacks "remain your regular attacks throughout second job."

Advance to Page at Lv 30

Planet-helper lists the chain. Talk to Dances with Balrog in Perion, then the Warrior Job Instructor on West Rocky Mountain IV. Collect 30 Dark Marbles (Warrior) in Warrior's Rocky Mountain, return The Proof of a Hero, and pick Page. The chain gives about 9,560 EXP in total (henesys.gg; the wiki counts 15,860).

Craft the blunt line

Lv Weapon Attack STR · DEX Recipe (planet-helper)
30 Mithril Maul 52 65 · 30 No open NPC shop at launch (NiaMeowDB): drop or Free Market
35 Sledgehammer 60 75 · 35 Weaponcrafting 7: Iron Ingot ×4, Silver Ingot ×2, Processed Wood ×2, Screw ×21
40 Titan 65 85 · 40 Weaponcrafting 8: Iron Ingot ×4, Silver Ingot ×2, Gold Ingot ×2, Screw ×24
50 Golden Mole 75 105 · 50 Weaponcrafting 10 (crafting is capped at Lv 8 at launch, so not craftable yet): Bronze Ingot ×5, Gold Ingot ×5, Diamond ×6, Screw ×30

Learn Weaponcrafting from Mr. Thunder in Perion. Ores drop on your route: Iron from Fire Boars and Cold Eyes, Gold from Zombie Mushrooms and Cold Eyes, and Bronze from Horny Mushrooms. Crafting cap note: meowdb says crafting stops at Lv 8 at launch, which would block the Golden Mole. Planet-helper lists it at Weaponcrafting 10, above the Lv 8 cap at launch. Check your craft window. Our crafting guide covers the full chain.

Where to get the Lv 30 Mithril Maul: NiaMeowDB's NPC shop list (launch prices) shows River's Perion Weapon Store stopping at Lv 25 weapons: Fusion Mace (13,500 mesos), Heavy Mace (16,500 mesos), Square Hammer (13,500 mesos), Eloon (13,500 mesos) and Broadsword (16,500 mesos). Lv 30 shop weapons appear only under Neri the Fairy or Scott, which NiaMeowDB marks "Not open in this release." So at launch the Lv 30 Mithril Maul isn't sold by any open NPC. Get it from drops or the Free Market, or keep your Lv 25 shop weapon until your Lv 35 craft. The MapleClassic Wiki item page (last edited Sep 4) records no shop or drop source yet.

Planet-helper says no Warrior weapon type has a Lv 55 weapon, and the Lv 60 and 70 weapons have no recipe. Keep the Golden Mole until The Blessing (Lv 60, from Taurospear) or Gigantic Sledge (Lv 70, from Jr. Balrog). Both are old-table drops.

Spend your 121 SP

Order Blunt route (planet-helper, mscw) Sword route (mscw)
1 Rush 1 Sword Mastery 1
2 Blunt Mastery 5 Mastery 5, Booster 1, Rush 1, Threaten 1
3 Booster 1, Threaten 1 Max Mastery
4 Max Mastery Max Threaten
5 Max Final Attack Max Final Attack
6 Max Threaten Max Booster
7 Max Booster, then Rush Max Rush

Mastery 3 unlocks Final Attack and Mastery 5 unlocks Booster (planet-helper). One point in Booster already gives both attack-speed stages for 100 seconds (mscw-guidebook). Rush hits up to 6 monsters with a 2-second cooldown, but costs 35 MP at level 1 (planet-helper, mscw-guidebook).

Use Threaten where it counts

Mscw-guidebook's dataset covers 113 non-boss monsters from Lv 30 to 70. Median physical DEF is 10, and 20 of them have 0. In its formula:

DEF change from Threaten Damage gain (mscw-guidebook)
10 → 0 about +10%
20 → 10 about +9.1%
30 → 20 about +8.3%
0 → 0 none (the slow still helps)

Planet-helper notes that on a DEF 10 monster, Threaten alone takes DEF to 0, and that magic attacks don't use Weapon DEF. Cold Eyes, Zombie Lupins, and Lorangs on your route have 0 DEF, while Wraiths and Wild Kargos have 30 (planet-helper). Save Threaten for the Wraiths and Kargos, and pair it with physical party members. Recast it on each new group, because it lasts only 30 seconds at max.

Train from 30 to 70

Planet-helper's route, with the accuracy needed for 100% hits and your accuracy at that level shown in brackets:

Level Map Monster Accuracy needed (yours)
30–33 Ant Tunnel I Horny/Zombie Mushroom 44 (69)
33–35 The Land of Wild Boar II Wild Boar 47
35–39 The Burnt Land II Fire Boar 68
39–50 Another Path Cold Eye 79 (80 at Lv 39)
46–50 Monkey Swamp III Zombie Lupin 89 (89 at Lv 46)
50–55 Drake Hunting Ground Drake 83
55–62 Line 2 Wraith 98 (98 at Lv 53)
62–70 Wild Kargo's Area Wild Kargo 110 (110 at Lv 62)

For AP, mscw-guidebook says to keep total DEX at your next weapon's minimum and put the rest into STR. Two-handed weapons need DEX equal to their level, and gear DEX lowers the base you need. Max Precise Strikes is worth about 42 DEX of hit chance. Our training guide covers every job.

Example: At Lv 56 on Line 2, Threaten the Wraiths (DEF 30 down to 20, about +8.3% damage), Slash Blast the group, and cast Final Attack on a straggler. Bring a Cleric for the holy weakness (planet-helper).

Play your party role

Planet-helper says Threaten helps "every physical attacker in the party." Pair a Page with Fighters, Bandits, or Bowmen, and with Magicians for monster weaknesses. An I/L covers the ice-weak Fire Boars and lightning-weak Lorangs (see our I/L guide). Planet-helper lists the party bonus at +10% EXP for 2 players, up to +30% for 4 or more.

Return, boost, or roll an alt Page

  • Coming back from old GMS? Final Attack is no longer a passive. Two-handed blunt scrolls have no drop source yet. Third job (White Knight) is in El Nath, which isn't open (planet-helper).
  • Powerleveled Page: check that its SP went into one weapon line only. Mscw-guidebook says, "Do not develop both weapon lines." A powerleveling service won't level Weaponcrafting.
  • Alts: a Page alt with Weaponcrafting can craft Fighter and Bandit weapons too. Threaten makes a Page a good addition to a physical party. See our world-first party plan.

What may change at Grand Launch

This guide describes the Founder's Access build as it was on October 13, 2026. Re-check these against Nexon's Grand Launch notes on October 21: whether crafting still stops at craft level 8, whether Forgotten Hollow, Orbis and third jobs stay closed, KPQ channel limits, NPC shop stock, and any Founder's Access-only events or packages mentioned here. Nothing here assumes a closed area or feature will open.

FAQ

Should a Page use a blunt weapon or a sword in MapleStory Classic? Both sources lean blunt before Orbis, because you can craft the Sledgehammer and Titan (the Golden Mole is a Weaponcrafting 10 recipe and crafting is capped at Lv 8 at launch). Choose sword for +20 accuracy, a shield option, and attack scrolls that drop.

What is the Page skill build? Rush 1, Mastery 5, Booster 1, Threaten 1, then max Mastery, Final Attack, Threaten, Booster, and Rush. That's 120 of your 121 SP (planet-helper).

What does Threaten do? It lowers Weapon DEF by 10 and speed by 35 on up to 4 monsters for 30 seconds at max. Mscw-guidebook puts the damage gain at about 10% when DEF drops from 10 to 0.

Is Page Final Attack better than Fighter's? On one target, yes: 360% against 200%. Mscw-guidebook says Fighter needs 1.8 targets in range to match it.

Where should a Page train from 30 to 70? Ant Tunnel I, Wild Boars, Fire Boars, Cold Eyes in Another Path, Drake Hunting Ground, Line 2, then Wild Kargo's Area.

Can I put points in both Blunt and Sword Mastery? You can, but don't. Mscw-guidebook says one line uses 120 SP, and splitting leaves both underpowered.

How much DEX does a Page need? Enough for your next weapon. Two-handed weapons need DEX equal to their level, minus any DEX from gear (mscw-guidebook).
