Lith Harbor is the port on Victoria Island's southwest coast and the first town every Beginner sees after the boat from Southperry (MapleClassic Wiki). It has no job instructor, so most players leave quickly. That's a mistake at level 8, and again at 44 and 65, when Jane and John hand out some of the best quest rewards in the game. Find your way around Lith Harbor
The town is long and flat. MapleStory Quest gives a render size of 6,490 × 2,131, and the wiki says an internal east-west teleport pair helps you cross it. A wooden pier runs along the south side. The BGM is "Above the Treetops."

Mina is the only Lith Harbor seller with a chair, the Sky-blue Wooden Chair. She has no Sniper Potion. Perion's Arturo stocks one (our Perion guide).

Jane also keeps a 4-item grocer list: White Potion, Unagi, Pure Water and Watermelon. MapleStory Quest has no recorded prices for any of them yet. Pure Water matters, because her first challenge asks for one.

What the numbers add up to (our math)
- Level 8 starters: 124 × 4 + 188 = 684 EXP, 1,353 mesos, 16 Red and 16 Blue Potions from Olaf's first quest and Phil, plus the Fried Chicken, Sniper Potion and Lemons from Teo.
- Jane the Alchemist: 3 × 9,940 = 29,820 EXP, 4,167 mesos, 10 Elixirs, 15 Power Elixirs and a gloves scroll.
- John's presents: 3 × 25,900 = 77,700 EXP, 6,096 mesos, class gloves and earrings.

Join GM events through Paul
Nexon's Grand Launch release notes route every GM event through Paul. When a GM opens the Event Door, talk to Paul to enter the event map. Rooms fill fast, so if you can't get in, wait for the next round.

You can't enter if you already hold a Scroll of Secrets, or if you joined a GM event in the past 24 hours (Nexon). Take a Scroll of Secrets to Chun Ji at the Kerning City Construction Site for a Magic Box, then open it with Mr. Pickall in Kerning City. Nexon's list of possible contents includes ores, Elixirs and Intermediate and Greater scrolls for earrings, gloves, capes, shoes and shields. Our Kerning City guide shows where both NPCs stand.

- Returning from original MapleStory? Lith Harbor is still the arrival port, but the Orbis boat isn't here at launch and Phil's rides are one way (wiki, via our travel guide). John's quests are now level 65, not the old 45-ish chain.
- Fresh alt off Maple Island? Do all five level 8 quests before you ride. The 32 potions cover your first job levels. See our Maple Island guide.
