Golem's Temple is the chain of Stone Golem maps between Henesys and Sleepywood, and it's one of the quieter places to train in the 50s. This MapleStory Classic Golem's Temple guide covers the walk from Henesys, all six maps with their spawns, the Stone Golem's stats and accuracy needs, the two quests that want its Rubble, and which classes do best there.
Quick summary
- Getting there: walk from Henesys to The Road to the Dungeon, then Henesys Dungeon Entrance, The Breathing Rock, and The Entrance of Golem's Temple. The Entrance links to Golem's Temple I–IV (MapleStory Quest).
- Golem's Temple III has the most Stone Golems. It has 10 golem spawns out of 23 points, plus 7 Lupins, which gives about 2,500 EXP per full clear by our math. That's the highest in the area.
- Stone Golem: level 56, 5,134 HP, 175 EXP, 30 weapon defense and 0 magic defense. It resists poison, so Ice/Lightning Wizards do best here (NiaMeowDB).
- Two quests use Stone Golem Rubble: Maya's Last Collection (50 Rubble) and Building a New House For Blackbull (100 Rubble) (MapleStory Quest).
- Mob rates went up in the Public Release. All five temple maps moved from ×0.5–0.7 to ×1.3–1.5 (MapleStory Quest client diff), and NiaMeowDB's live map pages show the higher rates.
How to get to Golem's Temple from Henesys
| Step | Map | Region | Notes (MapleStory Quest) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Henesys | Town | Start here; potions at the Department Store |
| 2 | The Road to the Dungeon | Victoria Road | Bowman Job Instructor; low-level mobs plus 11 Blue Mushrooms |
| 3 | Henesys Dungeon Entrance | Warning Street | NPC Luke; also links to Swampy Land in a Deep Forest (Sleepywood side) |
| 4 | The Breathing Rock | Hidden Street | 24 points with Blue Mushroom, Lupin, Stone Golem and Fairy 4 |
| 5 | The Entrance of Golem's Temple | Victoria Road | Hub that links to Golem's Temple I, II, III and IV |
All six maps return to Henesys and use the RestNPeace music track (MapleStory Quest). The Road to the Dungeon itself is covered in our Henesys Hunting Ground guide. Our Henesys guide covers the town you start from, including Maya. Coming from Sleepywood instead? Swampy Land in a Deep Forest connects to Henesys Dungeon Entrance, so you can skip Henesys entirely. See our Sleepywood guide.
NiaMeowDB counts 5 portals from The Entrance of Golem's Temple back to a potion shop. Henesys launch prices (NiaMeowDB) are:
- Orange Potion 150
- White Potion 350
- Blue Potion 220
- Return Scroll to Henesys 500 mesos
Which Golem's Temple map is best?
Spawn counts come from MapleStory Quest. EXP per clear is our calculation: each spawn's EXP added up once.
| Map | Points | Stone Golem | Other spawns | Mob rate (CoT2 → Public) | EXP per full clear (ours) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Breathing Rock | 24 | 4 | 12 Blue Mushroom, 6 Lupin, 2 Fairy 4 | ×0.6 → ×0.9 | ~1,680 |
| Entrance of Golem's Temple | 24 | 9 | 12 Blue Mushroom, 3 Fairy 4 | ×0.7 → ×1.5 | ~2,160 |
| Golem's Temple I | 20 | 9 | 7 Blue Mushroom, 3 Lupin, 1 Fairy 4 | ×0.5 → ×1.3 | ~2,100 |
| Golem's Temple II | 15 | 7 | 4 Blue Mushroom, 3 Lupin, 1 Fairy 4 | ×0.6 → ×1.4 | ~1,640 |
| Golem's Temple III | 23 | 10 | 7 Lupin, 5 Blue Mushroom, 1 Fairy 4 | ×0.6 → ×1.3 | ~2,500 |
| Golem's Temple IV | 16 | 8 | 7 Blue Mushroom, 1 Fairy 4 | ×0.6 → ×1.5 | ~1,700 |
Respawn timers (MapleStory Quest):
- Stone Golems and Blue Mushrooms: about 7.56 seconds.
- Lupins: 60 seconds on Temple I–III.
- Fairy 4: 180 seconds.
NiaMeowDB's monster page puts the Stone Golem share between 38% of points (Entrance) and 50% (Temple IV).
How many are up at once? NiaMeowDB's map pages explain that a map fills to 75% of its spawn points when you're alone, plus 5% for each extra player, reaching 100% at six. The mob rate then multiplies that. On Golem's Temple III (23 points, ×1.3) NiaMeowDB expects about 30 monsters up at a time, though it labels the mob-rate effect a best reading from closed-test play.
Our pick:
- Temple III if you want the most EXP per loop.
- Temple IV if you only want golems with the fewest filler mobs, since half its points are golems.
- The Entrance if the others are full, since it has the second-highest golem count.
Stone Golem stats and the other monsters
| Monster | Level | HP | EXP | Defense | Element | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stone Golem | 56 | 5,134 | 175 | Weapon 30, magic 0 | Poison strong | NiaMeowDB |
| Lupin | 37 | 1,336 | 75 | — | None | NiaMeowDB |
| Fairy 4 | 29 | 593 | 54 | Weapon 0, magic 500 | Holy and lightning strong, poison weak | NiaMeowDB |
| Blue Mushroom | 19 | 342 | 35 | — | None | NiaMeowDB |
Stone Golem details (NiaMeowDB):
- Touch damage is 345–403.
- You need 98 accuracy at level 56 to never miss (117 at level 51, 136 at level 46). See our accuracy guide.
- It's very slow (speed −70) and stays on the floor it spawns on.
- Hitting it for 975 or more damage knocks it back. That's up from 500 in the second closed test, when it also had 5,402 HP.
- Every 40 seconds it can cast a 30-second physical attack buff and a physical defense buff on itself.
Example: a level 51 Hunter with 105 accuracy will miss a Stone Golem now and then, since 117 is the never-miss number at that level. Training on Temple III's Lupins and Blue Mushrooms between golems keeps EXP flowing until two more levels and a DEX point or two close the gap.
Fairy 4 is original to Classic World and has no older drop table (MapleStory Quest). With 500 magic defense, NiaMeowDB says physical classes should handle it.
Match your class to the temple
| Class | Stone Golem fit | Watch out for | Guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ice/Lightning Wizard | Best: 0 magic defense, no element resistance relevant to you | Fairy 4 resists lightning and has 500 magic defense, so skip it | I/L Wizard guide |
| Fire/Poison Wizard | Good: fire works; avoid poison (golems are poison strong) | Same Fairy 4 problem | F/P Wizard guide |
| Hunter / Crossbowman | Fair: 5,134 HP takes many arrows, but golems are slow and stay on their floor | Need 98+ accuracy at 56 | Hunter guide |
| Assassin / Bandit | Fair at range | Defense buff every 40 sec | Assassin guide |
| Warrior | Slow kills; touch damage up to 431 | Use knockback (975+ damage) to keep space | — |
| Cleric | Better at Dark Stone Golems (holy weak) in Sleepy Dungeon V | — | — |
The magician advice follows NiaMeowDB's analysis ("Magic defense is zero, so Magic Claw and elemental spells bypass mitigation"). The class rankings are ours.
Farm Rubble for two quests
| Quest | Giver | Level | Needs | Reward (Public Release) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Maya's Last Collection | Maya, Henesys Townstreet | 47+ (after Maya's Third Collection) | 50 Stone Golem Rubble, 50 Dark Stone Golem Rubble, 1 Diamond | 11,400 EXP, 1,477 mesos, Green Napoleon cape |
| Building a New House For Blackbull | Blackbull, Perion | 48+ and 10 Fame (after Fixing Blackbull's House) | 100 Stone Golem Rubble, 30 Screw, 30 Processed Wood, Blackbull's Deed to the Land | 11,800 EXP, 1,506 mesos, +2 Fame, one Greater attack scroll for your weapon type |
Both rows match NiaMeowDB's quest tracker (Maya's Last Collection, Building a New House For Blackbull). The Public Release raised both quests' EXP: Maya from 7,143, Blackbull from 7,425 (MapleStory Quest). Blackbull's quest needs 10 Fame to start, and the deed is carried off by Curse Eyes in the forest toward Sleepywood; our fame guide covers the fastest ways to reach 10.
Blackbull's scroll choices are Wand or Staff Magic Attack, Bow or Crossbow, Dagger or Claw, and eight warrior weapon types.
How many kills? (our math) You need 150 Stone Golem Rubble for both quests:
- About 500 kills at the 30% OSMLib reference rate.
- About 750 kills at the 20% older rate shown on MapleStory Quest.
Don't sell spare Rubble early. MapleStory Quest notes that an NPC pays only 56 mesos for it, while two quests ask for 150 in total. It belongs on our Etc keep list until both quests are done. Dark Stone Golem Rubble comes from Sleepy Dungeon. For meso value per kill, see our level 50–75 meso farming guide.
Pack for a long golem session
| Item | Why | Price or source |
|---|---|---|
| Blue Potions | Mages cast nonstop on 5,134-HP targets | 220 mesos, Henesys Department Store (NiaMeowDB) |
| White Potions | Touch damage up to 431 per hit | 350 mesos |
| Return Scroll to Henesys | Skips the 5-portal walk back | 500 mesos |
| Arrows or Subi stars | Bowmen and thieves burn ammo on high-HP mobs | 1 meso per arrow; Subi 500 mesos |
| Spare ETC slots | Rubble stacks up quickly if you're doing both quests | — |
Our tip: Rubble drops at a 20–30% reference rate, so a long session fills ETC space fast. Clear space before you leave town.
Compare Golem's Temple with other 50s maps
| Map | Main mob | At once / spawns | Notes | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Golem's Temple IV | Stone Golem 56 | 9 at once | ~1,176 clears from 55 (old EXP table) | planet-helper |
| Sleepy Dungeon V | Dark Stone Golem 58 | 20 at most since October 15 (was 31), spawn rate ×0.4 (was ×0.6) | Still dense, but thinned by the October 15 patch | henesys.gg update notes |
| Dangerous Croko II | Croco 52 | 31 at once | ~461 clears from 55 | planet-helper |
| Golem's Temple III (live, ×1.3) / The Entrance (live, ×1.5) | Stone Golem 56 | 23 and 24 points | Mob-rate increases make them denser than their point counts | NiaMeowDB |
The October 15 maintenance cut monster counts and respawn rates across Sleepy Dungeon I, II, III and V (henesys.gg), which narrows the gap between Sleepy Dungeon V and the temple. Golem's Temple is still less dense than the Croko maps in our Kerning swamp guide. It's best when you want quiet maps close to Henesys, Rubble for quests, or Black Crystal Ore rolls. Full level brackets are in our training guide.
Avoid these mistakes
- Using poison on golems. They're poison strong (NiaMeowDB).
- Spending spells on Fairy 4. It has 500 magic defense.
- Selling Rubble to NPCs before you've done Maya and Blackbull.
- Arriving under accuracy. At level 51 you need 117 accuracy to never miss.
- Hunting Temple II for EXP. It has the fewest points (15) and golems (7).
If you're making alts or coming back
- Alts at 47–48: pick up Maya's and Blackbull's chains first so Rubble from your grind counts toward them.
- Returning players: Classic World's golem is level 56 with 5,134 HP, so check current values instead of memory (NiaMeowDB).
- Mages: this is one of the best Victoria Island stops in the 50s. Pair it with Sleepy Dungeon V once Dark Stone Golems are in reach.
- Coming up from the 40s: the beach maps in our Florina Beach guide cover 36–50 and hand off neatly to the temple.

What changed at Golem's Temple at Grand Launch
Grand Launch (v1.0.0, October 21, 2026) didn't change a temple spawn, the Stone Golem or either Rubble quest. The changes that touch a golem session, from Nexon's Grand Launch maintenance notes and release notes:
| Change | What it means here |
|---|---|
| More potion drops from monsters level 10–30 | Blue Mushrooms (19) and Fairy 4 (29) qualify; Stone Golems and Lupins don't |
| Improved MP Recovery for Magicians: +10% to +25% (was +5% to +20%) | Mages casting nonstop on 5,134-HP golems spend fewer Blue Potions |
| Iron Body +20% to +40% Weapon DEF; Warrior potion recovery +20% to +50% | Warriors take Stone Golem touch damage more cheaply |
| Final Attack lasts its full 60 seconds | Warriors and Bowmen keep the extra hits up between slow golem kills |
| Windia expanded to 40 channels; Lie Detector Test added | Easier to find an empty Temple III, and a way to test a suspected bot |
Orbis and El Nath are still closed and the level cap is 100, so the temple and Sleepy Dungeon remain the main 50s options on Victoria Island. Player reports also list Fairy 4 as a source of the Torn Ledger Pages in our Caretaker's Ledger guide. The MapleStory Classic hub collects every guide for the game.
