This MapleStory Classic roadmap puts every announced Classic World update on one timeline, from Grand Launch on October 21, 2026 to the 3rd job test server planned for early 2027. Nexon's team showed the roadmap at MapleStory Fest on October 17. Grand Launch has since delivered the first stage, so each row below says whether it is live, dated or still undated, and what to do before it lands.
Quick summary
- Live now (v1.0.0, October 21): Grand Launch with Housing, the Excavation Site, the Stumpy field boss, and the Journey Begins and Mark of the Beta events. Halloween started October 28 (Nexon).
- November 18: Forgotten Hollow opens, with monsters from level 39 to 59 and Rotten Mushmom as its field boss. Nexon's launch notes confirm "November". The Moon Bunny's Rice Cake party quest runs as a Thanksgiving event from mid-November to early December, for level 11+ (NiaMeowDB roadmap report).
- December 9: guilds (formed in Lith Harbor), a Forgotten Hollow party quest for level 41+, and Happyville with Christmas events.
- No date yet: the first boss raid (Archon), Ossyria (Orbis and El Nath) and 3rd job on live servers. A 3rd job test server is planned for early 2027.
- Next patch: v1.1.0 maintenance on October 29. Nexon hasn't said what it contains.

The dates come from the MapleStory Fest panel as reported by NiaMeowDB's roadmap article. Nexon hasn't posted the roadmap as a news article. Its Grand Launch release notes confirm the November opening of Forgotten Hollow and the launch event dates. Treat the later dates as plans that can move.
Check what Grand Launch already delivered
Grand Launch on October 21 was the first roadmap stage. Nexon's notes list:
- Housing in Henesys and Kerning City, bought with mesos once you're a citizen at grade Visitor or higher. One home per account, shared by every character. See our housing guide and citizenship guide.
- The Excavation Site, a new Perion area, and Stumpy, a level 35 field boss. Inkwell had promised "another completely new piece of content" at launch in Nexon's October 2 interview. Our Stumpy boss guide covers the fight.
- 40 channels, the Lie Detector Test against bots, a trade lock on new accounts, and the Debt System added on October 22.
- Events: The Journey Begins check-in and The Marks We Leave Behind (Mark of the Beta) run to November 18; Halloween started October 28. See our Mark of the Beta guide and Halloween guide.
Still capped at launch: level 100, 2nd job as the last advancement, and crafting at craft level 8. Our patch notes tracker lists every change since launch.
Get ready for Forgotten Hollow on November 18
Forgotten Hollow is new content built for Classic World, not a returning area (Nexon interview). What the panel and the client data show:
- Monsters from level 39 to 59, with Rotten Mushmom as the field boss.
- Two halves: a fairy town with the Cave Fairy Sanctuary and the entrance maps to its east, and the Deep Passage to its west, where the questline follows the rotting World Tree roots down to Rotten Mushmom (NiaMeowDB).
- The way in: The Tree Tunnel at the Forest Up North, off The Forest North of Ellinia. The quest Welcome to the Hollow sends you down it, and a Return Scroll to Forgotten Hollow takes you straight to the fairy town afterwards (NiaMeowDB).
- Its quests and monsters are already in the launch client, placed on no reachable map (henesys.gg).
Before November 18: reach level 39, the earliest Hollow quest level in the client data, or two or three levels higher to grind the level 40+ monsters. Our Forgotten Hollow guide has the quests, monsters and maps. Until it opens, our training guide covers the open maps.
Plan for the Moon Bunny's Rice Cake party quest
Moon Bunny's Rice Cake is Classic World's version of the Henesys Party Quest. It's a Thanksgiving event for level 11+, running about three weeks from mid-November to early December (NiaMeowDB). Its Primrose Hill maps and monsters are already in the v1.0.0 client. Make a level 11 alt for it, since that's the entry level. Our Moon Bunny guide covers prep and party roles.
Get ready for guilds and Happyville on December 9
- Guilds: in the original game you traveled to Ossyria to form one. In Classic World you create it in Lith Harbor, so you don't have to wait for Orbis. The first version covers forming a guild and making a guild mark; guild houses are planned later (NiaMeowDB). Our Lith Harbor guide covers the town.
- Forgotten Hollow party quest: new, for level 41+, and it continues the area's story.
- Happyville: teased on stage as "a town full of memories", arriving with the Christmas events.
Example: three friends at level 34 on November 1 can split the run-up. Level to 39–41 in November, open the Hollow together on November 18, and arrive at 41+ for the Hollow party quest on December 9 with the guild ready to form the same day.
Set expectations for 2027: 3rd job, Ossyria and the boss raid

Inkwell told Nexon's interviewer that Classic World won't follow the original update order. 3rd job or certain regions "may be introduced sequentially where it makes sense," and some content will be adapted or brand new. He also said updates will come slower than in modern MapleStory by design, with "a number of future updates prepared" (Nexon interview). Know what isn't on the roadmap
- Ludibrium and Orbis party quests: not announced. The next party quests are Moon Bunny's Rice Cake and the Forgotten Hollow one.
- A second world: not announced. Windia is the only world, expanded to 40 channels at launch (Nexon).
- A level cap increase: none. The cap stays at 100.
- A fixed patch schedule: Nexon hasn't published one. Updates arrive as maintenance notices; v1.1.0 is the first after launch.
- Stat-boosting Cash Shop items: Inkwell said the team wants to avoid items "that directly affect character stats or growth" and focus on cosmetics and convenience (Nexon interview).
See what the dates mean for gear and mesos
Metaroad's recap says obtainable equipment stops at level 50 for now and that the cap will rise later. A few quest and citizenship rewards already sit above it, such as the level 57 Henesys and Kerning City Earrings (NiaMeowDB). Either way, a scrolled level 40–50 set stays useful for a long time. Forgotten Hollow's level 39–59 monsters on November 18 add new drops in exactly that band, so level 40–50 scroll prices may move once players farm there. That's our reading, not a source claim. What changed on the roadmap at Grand Launch
- The launch stage is done. Housing, the launch events and Halloween arrived on the dates the panel gave.
- One extra launch item: the Excavation Site and Stumpy aren't in the roadmap reports but shipped in v1.0.0, matching the "completely new piece of content" Inkwell promised.
- Forgotten Hollow is confirmed for November in Nexon's own notes; NiaMeowDB and henesys.gg give November 18.
- v1.1.0 on October 29 is the first post-launch version. We'll add any roadmap news it brings.
