The Sauna Robe is the only overall every job can earn before level 35, and its 10 slots take main-stat scrolls. This MapleStory Classic Sauna Robe quest guide walks the full nine-step Mr. Wetbottom's Secret Book chain in the best order, shows where to farm each item after the October 15 Sleepy Dungeon cuts, lists every way to get the Diamond, and plans the scrolls.
Quick summary
- Start at level 32 with Mr. Wetbottom in the VIP Sauna of the Sleepywood Hotel. The chain is nine quests and ends with Returned Secret Book, which gives a Blue Sauna Robe (male) or Red Sauna Robe (female) (MapleClassic Wiki).
- You need three item sets: 50 Lupin kills plus 30 Lupin's Banana, 50 Curse Eye Tail plus 10 Pig's Head, and one Diamond. The Diamond is the real gate.
- The robe: level 30, any job, W.DEF +75, all four stats +1, HP and MP +10, 10 upgrade slots. Overalls are the only body armor that takes main-stat scrolls.
- Rewards across the chain: 49,140 EXP, 8,593 mesos and 40 Blue Potions on the Grand Launch client (MS-Classic, wiki per-step data). Older guides show lower numbers from the test build.
- Finishing it unlocks Rowen the Fairy's Cursed Doll chain at level 36, which can pay Diamond Ore and an Intermediate gloves attack scroll.

The reason players chase it is the slots, not the base stats. Our scrolling guide explains that main-stat scrolls only exist for overalls, earrings and capes. A top and bottom can't take STR, DEX, INT or LUK scrolls at all. The first Thief overall is the level 35 Avenger and the first Bowman overalls are level 50 (MapleClassic Wiki), so for those jobs this robe is the only overall they can plan on before 35.
Pick the right route before you accept anything
The chain zigzags between four NPCs in three towns. Here's every stop:

Totals checked: seven steps at 5,850 EXP and two at 4,095 EXP add up to 49,140 EXP; seven at 1,023 mesos and two at 716 add up to 8,593 mesos. MS-Classic puts that at about 40% of level 32, which needs 122,760 EXP. Every step requires level 32, and none of them repeat.
Our recommended order: farm first, walk once
Most of the walking comes from going back and forth for items. Collect everything you can before step 2, and you can finish steps 2 to 9 in one loop.
- Get the Diamond first. Step 7 stops you dead without it (see the Diamond section below).
- Pre-farm the Curse Eye Tails and Pig's Heads while you level. Quest items you already carry should count when you turn in, but check your quest log before you farm hard: if an item is flagged as quest-only, it may not drop until the quest is active.
- Accept step 1 in Sleepywood, walk to Ronnie, accept step 2.
- Kill Lupins. The 50 kills only count once Hungry Ronnie is active, so don't grind Lupins early.
- Turn in to Ronnie, then go to Henesys for steps 3 and 4. If you pre-farmed, hand in both on the same visit.
- Back to Ronnie (step 5), then to Rowen in Ellinia (steps 6 to 8, with your Diamond ready), back to Ronnie (step 9), and finish in Sleepywood.
Example: a level 32 Assassin buys a Diamond in the Free Market and has 10 Pig's Heads in storage from her early levels. She takes step 1 in Sleepywood, kills Lupins in Sleepy Dungeon V, where Curse Eyes share the map, and fills both counts in one session. She then finishes the chain in a single Henesys-Ellinia-Sleepywood loop.

Halloween bonus, until November 18: Malady's hidden mission asks you to deliver a candy pouch to Ronnie in the Tree Tunnel, plus Anne east of Henesys and Estelle south of Ellinia (henesys.gg). Farm step 2: 50 Lupins and 30 Lupin's Banana
Lupin is level 37 with 1,336 HP, five levels above the quest, so expect slower kills at 32. The client data has no drop table for Lupin's Banana. The item text calls it "a Lupin's favorite", so Lupins are the likely source, but that's unverified (MS-Classic).

The Monkey Forest shortcut (Metaroad): from Ellinia, take The Field South of Ellinia (bottom-left portal) and keep going bottom-left to The Forest of Wisdom. Press Up three times at the second, middle tree to be lifted up, climb, and enter the portal at the top-left tree. That puts you in Monkey Forest I.
Farm step 4: 50 Curse Eye Tail and 10 Pig's Head
Curse Eye is level 33. As with the bananas, the client has no drop table for Curse Eye Tail. The item text says it's a tail taken from a Curse Eye (MS-Classic, unverified).

Pig's Head most likely comes from Pigs (level 7), going by the item name. Pigs die in one hit at 32, so this takes minutes:

Combine steps 2 and 4. The Tree Dungeon maps north of Ellinia are the safest Curse Eye maps, and Hunting Ground in the Deep Forest II lets you fill Lupins and Curse Eyes together. Sleepy Dungeon V used to be the obvious double map, but the October 15 patch cut it to 20 monsters at once with a slower respawn (henesys.gg), and its level 58 golems still roam. At 32–34, Hunting Ground II is the better pick.
Get the Diamond for Cold Milk
Rowen wants one Diamond, the refined gem, not Diamond Ore. You have four options:

Example: a level 33 Fighter did Luke's quest at 19 and got a Topaz, not a Diamond. He buys one Diamond Ore from a friend and pays Arcforge's 1,200 mesos fee. His crafting is already at level 6 from mining, so he skips the market.
Scroll the robe: what 10 slots give you
The tier odds come from the MapleClassic Wiki via our scrolling guide: Lesser 100% for +1, Intermediate 60% for +2, Greater 10% for +3, and Chaos 10% for +4 with a destruction risk.

Metaroad recommends keeping Intermediates for a level 50–60 overall and finishing the Sauna Robe with Lessers. We agree: you'll replace this robe, and Lessers can't fail. Pick the stat by job:

Overall stat scrolls are sold at citizenship shops: Flint in Henesys sells Overall STR and DEX Lessers, and Ben in Kerning City sells INT and LUK, each 40,000 mesos at the Distinguished Citizen grade (NiaMeowDB). That's grade 7, which needs level 42, so at 32 you'll scroll the robe later or buy the scrolls from players. Our citizenship guide covers the grades. Keep going: Rowen the Fairy's Cursed Doll chain
Returned Secret Book unlocks a five-step chain from Rowen the Fairy at level 36 (MS-Classic, GCMaple, wiki). Each step asks you to defeat Zombie Lupins (level 41) and bring the same number of Cursed Dolls.

If you're returning, boosted, or on an alt
- Returning players: the chain and NPCs match the original game, but use the Classic World launch numbers, not old wiki totals. Classic World also has no White Scrolls or Clean Slates, so a failed Chaos scroll is final (our scrolling guide).
- Powerleveled or boosted characters: you can reach 32 without ever visiting Sleepywood or the Tree Tunnel. Do the route in the table above in order; the chain is about 40% of a level, so it's worth doing even if you skip other quests. Our quests worth doing guide ranks it with the rest.
- Alts: each character can do the chain once. Your main can run the Cursed Doll chain first and pass Diamond Ore to the alt, which removes the Diamond gate. The robe's gender decides the color, not the job.

What changed for the Sauna Robe at Grand Launch
The quest chain and the robe's stats are the same in v1.0.0 as in Founder's Access. What changed around it:
- Sleepy Dungeon was cut on October 15: Sleepy Dungeon V now holds 20 monsters at once, down from 31, and III holds 16, down from 20 (henesys.gg). Farm Lupins and Curse Eyes elsewhere first.
- The new-account trade lock (Nexon) means a fresh account can't buy its Diamond on the Free Market until 24 hours after a character reaches level 15.
- The Debt System (October 22) blocks trading on accounts caught buying mesos, so buy the Diamond with mesos you earned.
- Potion drops rose for monsters level 10 to 30, which covers the Pigs for step 4 (Nexon).
- The Halloween event sends you to Ronnie until November 18.
